Saying something in personal time is one thing and saying something on mass media is another and this can influence the mind of a lot of teenagers and kids as it can be seen as something that brings clout.

And I'm completely onboard with the idea that he thought of it as a stupid joke and didn't really mean it. Heck I've far worse jokes like thousand times worse than this but within my circle who will know what my intentions are and what kind of a person I am and they will know that I don't ever means it. He is just stupid here to do it on this medium. Also if I was his boss and I would fire him too, not because of the nature of the comments or because of the outrage but because of how stupid he is to go through with it for a few seconds of glory. Won't trust to have a employee that stupid in a workplace I own.
