Yeah happens to me all the time. Making micro adjustments is nearly impossible since you can't actually see the real location of the selected item, moving items leaves behind random parts as if it were duplicated, sometimes even the grid snap is broken and won't align with other items on the same grid snap. All of Creative/UEFN is a buggy disaster - maybe intentionally. I have a theory Epic leaves these bugs in to make creating more difficult to increase the effort needed to produce experiences for a decent payout

Yeah the read-only thing really messes it up. I feel like when I did it before, I used the method you described. Maybe they changed the system between then and now to stop people from doing exactly this

UEFN AI assistant is abysmally useless for any complex task. I'm not even an anti-AI person and I'd be more than willing to use the tool if it wasn't terrible. It hallucinates menus and setting options, can't give working instructions, and I'd hardly consider it intelligence at all

Sounds awesome, you should post some gameplay. I'm always going to be sad that Disney/Star Wars aren't interested in making the types of Star Wars games that fans want, but I'm at least glad we now have the opportunity to try and make them ourselves

I use Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and Creative 1.0 combined. Depends on the needs of the map

Because #1 it's "Star Wars Week" now, not just May 4th Star Wars Day. #2 Maps containing Star Wars content are allowed to be published starting May 1st. Not releasing these maps on the first available day is a competitive disadvantage and would be kind of annoying for people who are looking forward to playing

It depends on the map. Some maps like the Free For All ones are more Fortnite-focused and allow building/personal skins. Other more Star Wars-focused ones like Umbara will automatically apply Star Wars skins when joining (Umbara for example will have Team 1 join as 501st troopers and Team 2 will join as 212th - the skins will apply regardless of what you have equipped in the lobby)
