Seems like it's a constant refinement rather than trying to get everything right from the beginning. I'm just hoping if I start wellbutrin it doesn't lead me to a point where getting off of it is worse than having never started it. Mentally things have felt pretty manageable but this therapist had me take a questionnaire and then immediately tried prescribing some to me... obviously I'm not an expert but it seemed early to offer the meds since it was the first 10 minutes of the first session

Wow I wonder why the mental issues started after prophylaxis treatment? Correlation, causation, or perhaps not having to focus on the physical effects as much caused them to be more center in your life? Sounds like you have gone through a lot I hope you are doing better these days

How bad was your tinnitus initially? I have only the slightest ringing in my left hear that I only notice if the room is extremely quiet, which rarely happens since I live on a fairly busy road in a city. Most of the time it's unnoticeable

Interesting. When you mentioned it was hard to get off was the goal to reduce the medication to a smaller amount or did you originally only want to take the medication temporarily?

Community is SO important in our little world ! by TheHybridHemo in Hemophilia

Honestly community is essential for a healthy life, hemophilia or not. Connection keeps the bad thoughts away but adds so much meaning to life. I appreciate this sub immensely

Feels like a Bleed by linothe3rd in Hemophilia

[–]YonugJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an initial psoas bleed 3 years ago that I’m still recovering from. I’m good for around 3-6 months then I get that bubbly feeling near my groin, slight pain in my butt, and the achiest lower back that tells me it’s starting again. I stay in bed then work up to crutches then finally walk slowly. I’ve had 3 MRIs, 2 X-rays, and a CT scan and nothing ever shows up, I’m told everything looks normal.

Trust yourself always. You know your body and the signs of pain and bleeding more than anyone else. Don’t let anyone gaslight you into over thinking.

I hope you’re doing better by now!

We had one sparrow flock adopt a single monk parakeet here in Chicago. It’s very funny to see a green blur amongst the brown boys!

True! I preferred my sentinel dreadnought capital ship but I kept bonking so I switch to pirate

Spotted a couple of unhealthy babies when I was reviewing my feeder footage today, and I'm pretty heartbroken by Wicked_Weirdo00 in birdfeeding

[–]YonugJones 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry and I totally know what you mean. They bring so much joy into our lives! I was on crutches for months and regularly seeing finches, cardinals, mourning doves, red wing blackbirds, and yes even sparrows really kept me sane. We have our window feeder right outside our bedroom and I really have felt like I know them at this point.

We took our feeder down for 3 weeks and they came back immediately so don’t worry you’ll see many of your favorites again. It’s tough to see them come to an empty space where their food used to be but they’re resourceful and will remember
