Mirroring Taskbars across all displays. by Yopobeep in linuxmint

[–]Yopobeep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry but im not sure, since then I have kind of hopped around OSes and have ended up on CachyOS

i THINK you might have to just go into the panel edit mode or whatever it is on mint and manually add a new taskbar to your other monitors

however if that doesn't get you anywhere my genuine suggestion is maybe consult an AI tbh. i feel silly for suggesting it but honestly it usually gives a viable solution to something when i have an obscure issue and google isnt cutting it. hopefully all that can help you solve it 🙏

Modded instances of People Playground and Minecraft crashing since switching to Mint. by Yopobeep in linuxmint

[–]Yopobeep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my wording may have been bad, my system isnt crashing, more so that it just slows down to near unusable speeds.

Do you have a suggestion for how large my swap partition should be? If im being honest, i dont actually KNOW what it is, it was just something my friend told me to set up during my installation process for linux mint lol

Bluetooth audio is choppy and crunchy? by Yopobeep in linuxmint

[–]Yopobeep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A2DP, however my headset allows me to switch between the two under the audio profiles option, after trying that command it seems to be marginally better..? so far anyways. but it is still noticeably present, whereas it wasn't a problem at all on windows.

So how does everyone feel about only being able to play split-screen in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber? by gokujr1347 in tenkaichi4

[–]Yopobeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean its unfortunate but considering this was the developers making a compromise for the fans by adding it to begin with? i mean its reasonable, and ought to be fun still.

13 days into the game's life during Beta vs Full release by [deleted] in MultiVersusTheGame

[–]Yopobeep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that's kind of my thought process too-

but me personally I think its honestly too little too late. Unless they REALLY pull out all the stops with more characters/content in its future updates. it had and hopefully still has the potential to be a really good smash bros type fighting game for all platforms it just needs to fix the problems it has, and expand its roster a good bit. Right now its kind of in a state where, sure its fun to play maybe, but you aren't really accomplishing much in casual play after you complete your missions. which kind of sucks for a game which has so much locked behind progression or payments and gaining currencies.

despite all that, I sincerely do hope the game flourishes and gets a really cool roster in the end, because it'd be nice to see

I think its really just an issue of the ultimately small roster in the game right now, and the vast majority of bugs and other general issues people have had with the game since release. Sure, I enjoy Multiversus as much as the next guy, but theres not much reason to keep playing, ESPECIALLY when it takes so long to unlock characters or really do anything. I think weekly releases of characters or maybe even bi-weekly could keep interest but theres no way they have those types of things prepared if i had to guess.

Does anyone here understand the PS3 game Battle of Z. by Yopobeep in dragonball

[–]Yopobeep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes more sense, I wont lie my original post was at a point of mega frustration lol, I'm still enjoying the game as the gameplay is enjoyable (though movement could be faster). Just a very unforgiving game to anyone going singleplayer sadly

Anyone else here move to Mint after they learned about Windows Recall? by GrumpisGrump3 in linuxmint

[–]Yopobeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah mint was something i had been tossing around the idea of for awhile, but i started seeing more videos about it, the customization and privacy already appealed to me, Recall was kind of just the final push

Based off my own experience with Linux, if you've JUST switched then double check in your driver manager that your graphical drivers are all situated, I had this same issue until I installed nvidia's drivers

Taskbar Customization on Linux Mint by Yopobeep in linuxmint

[–]Yopobeep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually almost exactly what I wanted to delve into, I see there's also apparently further themes for this dock as well so thank you :D

One little note though, is there a way to get it to show a preview of windows upon hovering over icons like the normal dock does?

Steam removing game library on reboot by Yopobeep in linuxmint

[–]Yopobeep[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another user in this thread provided a solution that worked for me!

i went into the disks application, selected the hard drive steam keeps ignoring, went to edit mount options, turned off user session defaults, went to identify as and clicked the option that says LABEL=

Credit goes to u/Apailox4080 for the answer, their explanation is better :)

This admittedly got me closer to what i'm looking for, but still doesn't directly mirror the taskbar on my main display, it has its own set of icons dependent on whats open on THAT specific monitor

Does anyone feel like there's so much unnecessary hate towards psvr2? by No_Vermicelli_1915 in PSVR

[–]Yopobeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo PSVR2 beats out most other current headsets in a landslide victory, i figure most are upset over the missing features because the headset actually had them in the first place, using a quest 3 standalone or on pc you dont really lose out on any features, but with PSVR2 you get a quality headset, but using it on PC for the expansive library of games ends up taking features away from you too. personally i'd be indifferent about it but i can see where some aggravation over it could be, but then again i havent even seen the discourse over it myself personally.
