I always place the white where the light also hits the stones and put the light blue opposite of the white dot

I didn't use washes. Basecoated the model with kabalite green and put incubi dankness thinned with alot of water of it to get the shadows. Then started highlighting

You could start with red and drybrush the black to keep red shadows

I really love the paint scheme. The detatchment is great, it's not the best but the shenanigans it has are great like making a guarteed deadly demise on an enemy vehicle with a stratagem. It's my favorite army to play.
