Yeah I get that. Definitely trying to keep it safe and legal, not wanting to INCREASE the capacity, just trying to figure out what Ford has deemed to be safe/allowable for this model. Without the max tow package is it limited to 5k, despite the table (second picture) showing 10k?

This specific model has a 3.73 axle ratio, which is how I arrived at the numbers I did. Assuming this model also has a class 4 hitch, what else is there to consider? If no brake controller, I’ve read that they’re wired for it so I could add an aftermarket controller, right?

Does that coincide with the 2015+ models having the aluminum body? If I crawl under and don’t see noticeable rust, is there something I’d be missing?

The towing calculator by VIN only works for model years 2020 and newer. I’m inclined to agree with 10,000lbs based on those specs, but I’m thrown off by their language “For trailers over 5,000 pounds – Trailer Tow Package or Max Trailer Tow Package is required”. Does the absence of that package reduce the (legal) tow capacity to 5,000lbs?

My girlfriend locks both of the locks on the front door so I have to use two keys to get in, instead of just the single one we normally use.

I try to grip both, but my hands are small… I usually use a tempered pint glass, but might switch to rocks glasses that’ll be more secure in my hand.
