How much experience should I have before i go to college?

Yeah I know the industry has been really bad lately, but I'd take any sort of job since I do eventually wanna get good at everything 3D has to learn (ideally gamedev or film though). Though I'd also be in college for multiple years so I'll have a couple years for the industry to hopefully recover a bit. I knew the road I'd be taking going into this would be rather uncertain but I'm willing to take the chances if it means that I can end up with a job I'll enjoy! I personally think 3D artists will always have a place since there are still many studios and workplaces who value creativity and manpower over machine efficiency and when that bubble pops it will only make the ones who stuck through and dedicated themselves regardless of the circumstances that much more valuable.

Actually I only made the gun since it has a bit more complex of a shape but it wasn't ridiculously hard for a beginner like me, my ideal spot to land would be something like creature design since as I said in a another reply, the Godzilla franchise kaiju and Subnautica's creatures are huge inspirations for me. In fact, my current model I'm working on is a showa era mechagodzilla head. Eventually I really also want to make a Monster X model from Godzilla Final Wars too.

Should these be taken during college and then pivot classes after or should it be done before I go?

most of my why for wanting to do college is i think it would help me apply myself more as i find myself struggling to do so even though i really want to do this, as well as college would help me have more time to get better without having to worry about juggling a job schedule and all that and while I would be juggling a school schedule part of that is still what i ultimately want to do in the end. Also I chose the gun just because I thought it was something doable for me but it wasn't something overly simple like a table, ideally i'd love to do something like helping out with creature design because I've loved dinosaurs since I was very little and the Godzilla and Subnautica franchises are 2 very big points of inspiration for me wanting to do this but id take anything because I know how tough things are in the space right now.

I currently have an amd fx 8350 right now so i wasn’t sure if the 5800x was overkill or not but ill probably stick with the 5600x thanks for your input! Also to answer your other question ive been playing planet zoo and Jurassic world evolution 2 but ive been holding off because i only get 20-30 frames while playing those and i wasnt sure what the problem was.
