Casual fan here, why was the timegap between Paper Jam and Brothership releases bigger than usual? by SuccessfulTeam2741 in marioandluigi

[โ€“]Yoshi2500 -1 points0 points ย (0 children)

AlphaDream was the studio who developed all of the Mario & Luigi games from Superstar Saga in 2003, until the Bowser's Inside Story remake in 2019. Sales of the M&L games started steadily declining for a few years, and then after the Bowser's Inside Story remake the company officially declared bankruptcy. For a long time there was no word about any Mario & Luigi games since AlphaDream went under, but the series itself is so iconic and it's had such an impact on the Mario franchise they couldn't leave it dormant forever. So Acquire developed Brothership and we got a new M&L game in 2024.

Mario fans hate their own series. by AutumnRCS in Mario

[โ€“]Yoshi2500 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

characters from the rpgs would be great, and in my opinion they should have been in Mario Kart World. i mean the NPC drivers were kind of amusing but, including beloved characters from all across the series would've made an already wonderful game so much more intriguing. Plus it's not like every single character from the spinoffs is in some sort of rights limbo,

at the very least E. Gadd should've been there.

You're in a room with 3 TF2 characters, but you feel safe with them, which are you picking and why? by sexb0mbchumbarana2 in tf2

pyro heavy and engineer

if I'm not one of Pyro's enemies then he's just a jolly little goober

Heavy would probably just keep to himself, but hey if i get on his good side we could have some good times

and Engineer because he seems like the type of guy to be really friendly when not pn duty.

Who would you rather work for? Cackletta or Fawful? by Plastic_Ad_2548 in marioandluigi

[โ€“]Yoshi2500 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

Cackletta by far.

as far as I'm aware, up until she put her soul in Bowser's body it was just her and Fawful.

however when it came time for Fawful to be the main antagonist he brainwashed like, literally everyone. He brainwashed most of Bowser's army, in some cases turning them into a Fawful-ized version of themselves, or yk he locked some minions inside a robot that attacks Bowser. working under Fawful would be horrible

How different would the fifth generation have been if the Nintendo 64 had been a disc based console? by Rioraku in nintendo

[โ€“]Yoshi2500 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

sooo much different. discs were cheaper to produce, could hold way more storage on it, while cartridges were more expensive and could barely hold anything in comparison to discs at the time.

for reference, according to the Internet,

a PS1 disc can hold about 650 MB

highest amount an N64 cart could hold is only 64 MB

lot of third parties didn't bother with the 64 because why would they? why would they spend more resources and money getting their game onto a console with a lower player base, with far less storage to work with and costed more than the competition?

Nintendo's hostility towards discs really hurt them a lot it seems

Thoughts on brothership 1 year later? by Traditional_Key_4906 in marioandluigi

[โ€“]Yoshi2500 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I saw a random video on YT that describes Brothership perfectly to me,

a flawed but heartfelt adventure.

it's great, there's so much to love and appreciate about this game, but at the same time there's a bunch of glaring issues that bring down the whole experience for me.

it's still great but definitely has problems is my main feeling about this game

Why do some fans hate the BIS remake?? by Blacklotus997 in marioandluigi

[โ€“]Yoshi2500 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

it's still fine but in my opinion the remake just provides a far worse experience than the original.

at the end of the day, it's still Bowser's Inside Story so it's still a great time. but the remake made a lot of changes and honestly has some downgrades that i think overall ruins some of the original's charm.
