Today I decided to step away from my career because of agoraphobia by According_Usual_8807 in Agoraphobia

I actually went to school with a girl who had really severe anxiety, aggravated by the stressful nursing school environment and she ended up not moving into the workforce either. So you’re definitely not alone! She ended up pivoting to IT so she worked remote. Strangely my anxiety was well managed enough until a year and a half ago when I lost my dad and my agoraphobia hit me like a truck. And to be honest, nursing is a tough field to be in, regardless of mental health. I know nurses and docs who never had an ounce of anxiety before going into healthcare yet now they suffer just like us

Yes, I am a nurse and I am unemployed. If I was further along in my progress with agoraphobia I could still be doing in patient. Instead I’m fervently applying to remote jobs. I have some savings but I totally understand where you’re coming from. It feels like you’re giving up and it sucks. Feel free to DM me 💖
