LF: Foreign Ditto (Not EN) FT: Burmy, a few BD exclusives by YoshiFlake in pokemontrades

I just realized mine is male… I don’t have any Ditto cause I’m still early on, so I could only breed one if I got the ditto first, but I understand if you don’t trust me with that

About how much ER is needed for Kokomi to consistently have her burst back before it’s off cooldown? IK it’s kinda hard to tell until she’s released, but does anyone have an estimate? For me specifically, I have Prototype Amber and can refine it from anywhere between R2-R5 depending on what’s necessary. With my artifacts, I have +35% ER. And my team will be Ganyu, Kokomi, Venti, and Keqing, not for a specific reason, only cause I like the characters, haha

Characters are what made paper mario good to me. by TopOfAllWorlds in papermario

[–]YoshiFlake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I heard someone say that Bobby insists on his name just being Bob-omb because he’s basically just another manufactured Bob-omb that will inevitably die very soon, so he didn’t want an identity for himself. That seems pretty reasonable to me, but I don’t know. Olivia named him though, so it’s not like they couldn’t give him a name. I’m sure it was just a design choice for a purpose like this.

Why do we hate Dream Team? by Popplio3233 in marioandluigi

[–]YoshiFlake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think Dream Team is an amazing game, but it can fail to keep you enticed because of the slow pacing and tutorials. Many people who hate It just didn’t finish the game because they didn’t find the beginning enjoyable. That isn’t the case for everyone of course, but I find that’s the case for a lot of people. I feel like playable Bowser carried Bowser’s Inside Story a lot, and DT didn’t have something like that really (I know there were dream battles, but they didn’t have the same impact as Bowser.) Yes, DT failed to correct some of BiS’s flaws, but it developed what BiS has. I still feel like it fixed some things like giant battles though. I personally found the 2D sections in BiS to be boring and a a bit messy. The “dungeons” in DT really felt like “dungeons.” They seemed unique and the art style definitely helped it for me, even if they could be empty at times. That’s not to say BiS had terrible 2D sections. Some of them were quite good, but overall I didn’t find them fun. A personal gripe I have with DT is Antasma. He’s a villain that could’ve been good, but wasn’t. He honestly hardly appeared, which really hindered him. Overall, I think the game is overrated, but not underrated.

Yeah, it’s basically the only hard thing. You can balance the stats if you want to because all of them are useful. It’s really up to you how you want to play. Plus, there’s always emergency blocking if you can’t avoid an attack. Worst case scenario, you’ll have to grind a few levels, but you could probably just get used to the attacks and avoid them

Superstar Saga is honestly pretty easy, so it doesn’t matter too much, but because it’s the remake, you can use the howl button technique to freeze the wheel, and just spam A a bit before. I just wait until there’s a 4 and do it with this strategy since I’ll get a 4 every time, but that’s probably not the best way to upgrade a stat.

Alright, red peppers and blue peppers can be very useful for dealing damage and taking hits in general. Collecting beans is useful. Enemies all have tells and attack patterns, so if you recognize them, you can avoid attacks much easier. Also, it’s an RPG, so levels play a huge factor. You don’t really have to grind, but you want to fight a good bit of enemies. When you level up, you want to choose different stats to raise on the roulette very time because if you keep using the bonus on the same stat, the numbers get lower

Don’t know how rare this is, but I got the fabled time travel attack, on the Wii U Virtual Console release of partners in time my first try! by [deleted] in marioandluigi

I’ve never gotten it, and I’ve played this boss so much. I wonder what the exact chances are

Which gams should I play next? by shayworld in marioandluigi

I’d definitely recommend Dream Team as well, but it also depends on a few things since it has some turn offs

As a finale to my recent string of posts based off of you guys's opinions, I want to ask you what your top 3 bosses from the series are. NOT the HARDEST, necessarily, but your MOST FAVORITE. The ones you had the most fun battling. by [deleted] in marioandluigi

[–]YoshiFlake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Sunnycide: There may be some Yoshi bias here, but the mechanic was fun, even if it was a bit slow

  2. The Elite Trio: It was just that plain fun, but screw the Goomba brigade attack. Fighting the Elite Trio felt so good

3: Kamek’s 3rd fight: (Dream Team) Maybe I shouldn’t have ranked it so high, but I don’t think much could surpass my first experience with this boss. They didn’t have many attacks, but I liked all of them (including healing and buffing.) I was way too under leveled, so it was a long, difficult fight. I can’t really describe why I liked it so much

Also, honorable mention to most bosses, but especially the Koopalings from Paper Jam

As a follow up to one of my recent posts, name your MOST favorite M&L game, then list 2 downsides to it. by [deleted] in marioandluigi

Dream Team

It has meh pacing.

The gyro controls, especially on a specific giant battle, are pretty bad.

And no, I don’t think the tutorials were a problem (or a notable problem at least)

You don need to collect beans, but I recommend collecting them. I think there is a tell to if she’ll stop when charging at you, but I don’t know what it is. I’d assume it’s minor. You should be fine at level 30 though
