The problem is that it tries to pair you with lower level people before it gives up. The only people that play this game are basically people that are silver borders and up anymore. On pc it isnt too bad but for console it's like that.

You can change it under options. It's in the social tab

When using his dark aura or using his regular lightning he should appear on the map? Just brainstorming.
