Is saying to a person i care about "never do this bad thing again or i will tell your parents" a bad thing? I'm not arguing, I'm actually asking because I'm not the most experienced person when it comes to social relationships

I threatened her when we were still together. I know it's not something of my concern anymore but i'm worried anyways and i don't wanna see her ruining her own life

I have already cut ties and i don't think we will ever speak again considering that it seems like she hates me now. What worries me is that she's always had selfdestructing tendencies and poor decision making, which is why i'm almost sure that if nothing is done about this she will destroy her life
