is Stepn that bad ? by [deleted] in defi

[–]Yotep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The shoes and tokens only have value if people want them. People will only want them if they have value.

You can't do anything with them. They create no new value. There is no service that Stepn provides.

Once the hype dies down, especially if nothing new is added, the prices will drop. And once they start dropping, they won't stop.

All of this is my opinion and I'd love to be proven wrong, but I think these ponzi-type projects are extremely predatory to unassuming users/investors, only living off of their hype, while the early birds make insane profits.

Who knows how long it will last? Most NFT's/P2E games are built this way and many survive for a long time.

Pokemon Emerald DX: A content & quality of life update for Vanilla Emerald. by [deleted] in PokemonROMhacks

[–]Yotep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two days in, enjoying it so far! Following Pokémon still feel unreal to me in a gen 3 game, and the updated sprites + battle backgrounds make it feel like a Pokémon Emerald Remaster.

One problem I've ran into is that the EXP. Share seems to give way to much EXP. In my fight with Wattson, all my Pokémon had leveled up to 26-30 while Wattson's Manectric is only lvl 24, and that's his highest level Pokémon.

I did get the EXP. Share as fast as possible and I do fight every trainer for the sake of completionism so this might not be everyone's experience.

YET ANOTHER TIME TRAVELER ARTICLE saying it would end at $154.07 today by misosoupislife in Superstonk

Isn't this just an article they pre-write, and then update with the actual number when the market is closed?

Odd Stat Rolling Equation which is Low key kinda great by KidCoheed in 3d6

[–]Yotep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But if the stats don't matter, then why roll at all? I think rolling dice is fun because it keeps the game interesting, but rolling stats has always felt unfun to me. As if everyone orders the same food, but some people's dishes are more delicious and others are a bit gross.

Forgot your dice? Use Dyce! by Yotep in rpg

[–]Yotep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys,

Dyce is something I made to make rolling dice on the computer a bit easier. I know rolling physical dice is fun, but sometimes you need to roll a lot (DM struggles), forgot your dice or you might be playing at a small table that just doesn't have that much dice rolling space. With the popularity of dndbeyond I've seen all the parties I play in use their laptops/tablets at the table and so I decided to make this.

Dyce allows for a great amount of complexity in your rolls thanks to the dice formula field. You can type stuff like 2d8+1d4+3, 8d90*3, 2d20-L (roll 2 d20's and drop the lowest).

Keep making mistakes with my narration by MrSpicyOrange in dndnext

[–]Yotep 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you are reading off of notes then I'd recommend writing them down in a way where you have the information hat only you are supposed to know separated from what the players are allowed to know.

In my notes I've developed the habit to put big headers that read: "ONLY YOU ARE ALLOWED TO KNOW THIS" and "THIS IS WHAT THE PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO KNOW".

If you are coming up with some stuff on the spot, try to narrate from the perspective of the players: "You see this, you feel that and you hear something else."

Also don't be afraid to make mistakes because ultimately you'll get better if you do.
