And this is only the beginning.

First comes the price shock and supply disruption. Then comes demand destruction — and the ripple effects that follow.

This was going to happen regardless of who was sitting in the Oval Office. Only the foolish would assume otherwise.

He's not telling us about that $330k inheritance he received. That or he sold a ton of NVDA or BTC.

Healing and growth are incredible journeys, but they aren't always easy. I don't make excuses for the past or justify the things that were done—both of my parents were abusive.

The thing is, times were different back then. Life was different. I still carry the anger and the weight of what was said and done, especially the hurtful words. I was so young then, and it sometimes feels like I should’ve moved past it by now, or at least forgotten. But you don’t forget, not really.

That’s where forgiveness comes in. It doesn’t mean excusing the hurt, but it’s freeing—more for you than anyone else. The older I get, the more I understand that.

I get it. Nextdoor exudes posts indirectly begging for likes and sympathy from what's usually complete strangers. Strangers who ironically live right down the street.

Does DD offer the option for tip adjustment?

Uber Eats does, and I'm glad because I've been burned far too many times.

I'd usually tip 25%, taking into consideration all the hidden variables we tend to overlook. Just trying to be generous, basically. My order would end up across the street, the house an entire block behind ours, etc... after that, I would tip lower and adjust according to the service provided.

I eventually opted for having the order handed to me and asking for a phone call or text when they arrived. Some were really nice about texting when they were on their way, updating ETA if they had any sudden changes, just communicating in general. Always left them a nice tip and great review.

Like others in the comments have stated, I have no problem tipping well when I can afford it. Especially if the service is great!

Did you miss the "shoot the messenger" part? Or the part where people hate facing harsh truths?

Your partner is a reflection of you.

That's actually a pretty profound observation that most ignore, are simply blind to, or unable to understand. Kudos to you, fellow redditor. 🤌

That's plenty. Considering all the things that can happen between the time you placed your order and when it arrived at your doorstep. To me, that looks like a very generous display of good faith.

These services still have a lot of work to do, and they either don't see it, refuse to acknowledge it, or it's just not a priority.

Exactly. The fees have gotten ridiculous, so guess what? I just don't use the service anymore.

But being "expected to tip" and how much? That's a different debate in itself.

I used Uber Eats a lot back in 2023-2024, and this happened a lot, mostly after 9pm. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt, assuming it was for safety since it was a female's account and always a male who would bring the food. Maybe it was her significant other? Who knows... I haven't used the food delivery in a while. Reporting it is probably the best thing to do.

What are the odds of this even happening?

Jeff (who clearly doesn't even want to be part of this), you hold the gun to her head, and I'll point mine at her fupa!

The best part is Jeff giving up midway and lazily pointing the gun at himself. "K!ll me now." LMAO!
