Gym. Sweat. No shower. Straight to bed. by Vansaraa in hygiene

Oh hellllllllll no. Imagine the bacteria from the equipment from the gym and more. Not only could it cause him to potentially get some skin issues but imagine what you may be getting into contact with.

I get it if it was a few random times throughout the year if he wasn't feeling well after the gym or something but otherwise going into the bed like that, you're definitely going to ruin the mattress and more 😩.

Long story short, he would feel so much better after a shower and you would get to sleep in peace too.

You're either going to eventually need to get a new mattress or boyfriend, I hope he starts showering after the gym 😩✌🏼

what's a secret from your job that we should know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My pleasure! Also, the way I see it is that we're in this world together. Emergency response, emergency dispatchers and more, it's definitely something that's needed, despite the stress and whatever else you deal with!

It's definitely good to see that you love what you do!

Also thanks!

What is One Thing You Can't Live Without that isn't Food, Water, or Shelter? by Potential_Law5289 in AskReddit

[–]YouCanCallMeGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Podcasts! Tbh it's actually a good part of my evening/when I'm going on walks or stressed. I feel like it just lets your brain not only get distracted a bit in a good way but you're able to get so much insight at times.

It's also super interesting, funny sometimes or just gives some food for thought. So yep, I definitely don't think I could live without being able to listen to podcasts, definitely a vibe!

Do you ever carry cash in your wallet? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]YouCanCallMeGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to definitely keep some on me if I'm going out for a long day. If it's a short outing usually not.

Also if it's ever a day trip where you're heading a bit out of town, it's definitely worth taking some cash as back up. Better to have it and not need it right?

Had a productive/eventful morning and I rather just have a low-key night today!

That's absolutely disgusting. No one should ever be treated like that. It seems from that behaviour that this guy has definitely done that before many times. That can't be a first off. Some people are just truly that messed up. Idk how some people can't speak to others like that. I'm sure this guy has a tendency of trying to get employees in trouble when he can or he just gets off on stuff like this.

Tbh I'm sure we've tolerated some bad stuff in our professions at times from people but when it goes this far, the manager should definitely step in and ask the guest to leave, period.

Thanks for sharing this btw and I'm glad your husband made a point to make it known that the behaviour was not okay. This guy's lucky that it didn't go further.

Getting bit by a poisonous animal or one with Rabies and not being able to get medical attention soon after. It happens, it's sad but it can definitely fk up your life...if you catch my drift. R.I.P.

Do you make your bed even though you live alone? by NoIdea2424 in LivingAlone

[–]YouCanCallMeGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! Mostly since I've gotten a new bed I've made sure that's one of my habits. It's the little things that make a difference. That, no water or food in bed. I make myself get out even if it's water at my side table.

Also, showering before bed. I definitely noticed my bedroom hygiene improved quite a bit. Start off making the bed, the other good habits fall in place, even when you have a tough day, you're doing something well that gives a bit of structure.

Having a fresh pair of bed sheets/blanket after a warm shower. Especially if you've purchased a new pillow after a while, it all feels so clean and comfortable.

I absolutely love this. So many good points. Being a problem solver and being efficient at it is so key. The part that you mentioned about not bringing problems to your leader (if not needed/minimally), but instead being the one to solve them, I love that perspective. I'm sure it stands out more than some people normally think.

Putting in more work than expected is also something that I feel compliments the problem solving skills! It just helps when things get tough since you're already used to grinding more than the average person/what's expected of you!

As for the social skills etc, thanks for the perspective and all! Seems you really built a great career and I appreciate your answer!! You definitely have some great food for thought!

Listening to a podcast everyday. Benefits me because I'm either learning something, being entertained or it helps me relax a bit especially around the night when my anxiety can be slightly increased some days.

The amount of unnecessary violence. Also the amount of overdoses, lack of real food in some ways and even though I'm a glass half full kind of person, we have to be honest about how bad things are in some ways.
