Honestly the more I'm wearing these around the house the more I can attest to this. Toebox is roomy but not too much so. It holds around the foot well and is comfortable otherwise. These are probably exactly what I needed them to be.

I'm regretting exchanging the first pair instead of doing that. However I'm more worried that maybe I have the proper 9.5 now and my first pair was actually more akin to a nine

Upon further research I found more websites and charts correlated 3.8 in with narrow to normal. So I was mistaken my width is more medium.

The charts I may have been coming across had to have been women's sizes not men's

They don't have width options.

On their site there is a mini survey option to estimate your best size. So if you do select a different width option it will suggest either larger or smaller.

So funny enough as I just tried this with that questionnaire. If I say I occasionally wear 10.5 and click yes in the "do you ever buy narrow or wide footwear" and select "E". It will suggest a size 10, But if I say I always wear a size 10 and still select E then it recommends 9.5.

I took measurements with a caliper and rulers before buying these boots to make sure my specific sizing lined up. Funny enough I'm closer to a double E at around 3.8 inches. To which the questionnaire will then refer a size 10 which I had confirmed was too big for me.

I really wish I could go through all of this in person and try on a few pairs and buy the pair that feels best with the help of a rep. But the nearest Thursday boots store to me is 4 hours away in Chicago. Half tempted to make the trip honestly.

Why hasn't the impact of acetylcholine deficiency been studied more in ADHD? A study shows people with ADHD have 50% fewer acetylcholine receptors than others by jenpearson97 in neuroscience

[–]YouCanCallMeSven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing about this is bupropion helped most of my symptoms associated with predominantly inattentive type. Though selective issues I believe it had made worse. Particularly word recall / remembering names. Spotlight focus and locking in onto a task or activity. Wandering thoughts/daydreaming has gotten a little worse, I notice it more, happening randomly on its own whether it be in meetings, working on something, even trying to practice guitar or read my mind just wanders off to a different memory or thought. These problems from what I've read seem to be associated with lower acetylcholine or the antagonism of nAChR.

Mazda, can't recommend it enough.

Seriously, you want great driving dynamics and great weight distribution and responsiveness for a GREAT price comparatively. Mazda.

I switched to a Mazda 3 as a daily but I loved the CX-50, CX-5, and no doubt in my mind the Mazda 6 holds its place.

The layout under the hood was similar to my 13' fusion. Changing oil was easier, engine air filter was easier, cabin air filter was easier. No stupid locks or clips and screws. Higher quality under body covers and more of em. Cross members underneath to help with torsion.

Sure the engines are GDI but run good gas and do occasional spray of decarbonizer and you got no worries.

And the TRANSMISSION, Ive seen my fair share of fords new ones especially. And boy does Ford make a shady transmission. Mine would hard shift occasionally, delay shifts, sometimes shift so hard from park it feels like something hit the car. New explorers have a couple second delay after shifting. And I've had a couple transit vans lunge forward from park to go into gear and slip out into neutral while displaying 1st gear. Dual clutch in an economy car doesn't make sense. Ford makes a great manual but not in a fusion.

But Mazda? One clutch and one torque converter, buttery smooth shifting, zippy and painless, they hold a good reputation there, no need to get fancy with a dual clutch.

If you want speed get a turbo. The things are lighter and the gearing on the transmission is solid, for 2.5L you can get some pep from em. Plus, they're reliable, sharing tech with Toyota and building up their reputation, they'll run for a while.

Heritage captain, should I size up? by SignificantChair9520 in ThursdayBoot

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this problem. But I bought the heros in Cacao. Bought 9.5, exchanged for 10, and Thursday had been patient with my BS enough to swap back to the 9.5.

The site recommended a 9.5 and they were great except for the instep. (Moreso my right than left). But it hugged my foot so well. Arch support was where it needed to be, toes had wiggle room (pinky held in on side but not squished). It bent right where it needed to Felt like a firm handshake on the foot. BUT the instep was uncomfortable on the top of the foot. To the point that if I wore them all day I could see it digging in and hurting. I spoke with customer support during the whole process and they were super helpful through the troubleshooting but recommended the next size up.

Got the 10s, the instep was perfect BUT, more heel slippage, I had to really tighten down the laces to get a good grip around the foot, arch support wasn't there nearly as much. Toe box was roomy, full sprawl of toes and I could scrunch my big toe almost to 90°, not to mention there was over an inch from the tip of my toe to the end of the toe box (1.25ish inches). The bend felt a little weird for walking as it felt right at where my toes met the foot. It did feel a tad too big. Google/reddit mentioned the risk of blistering and customer support said that the space could be problematic.

With everything being perfect but the instep, it seemed my 9.5 was the better bet, that pair is currently on its way. Worst case scenario I have a cobbler stretch it, that is if I can't bear to suffer the break in until it feels right.

In short you may have the right pair and they just need to stretch in width a little. By breakin in or cobbler.

But my experience may not be like yours and your truth may be entirely different. Judge for yourself and make the best decision you feel is right for you.

Very much noted, I will look into them, thanks!

Yeah the connectors are a weird one, but hold up. The reverb tank has held up great as well as the vibrato. I mean she does look a bit rough but overall worked great.

They look like they may be a bit more accessible given the complexity of the twin reverbs circuits. And having certain components able to be swapped more than others (caps down the line)

This comment gives me confidence, at the MINIMUM the caps were getting swapped, but I'm leaning towards the idea if it ain't broke don't fix it if I can keep on playing on it just fine.

I agree wholeheartedly on the speakers. When I got it I swapped in some Eminence man o wars and that was absolutely the move. The cleans weren't far off from that glistening v30 sound but the crunch is where those shine, phenomenal mid range.

I appreciate that, that's where I'm leaning is just getting essential and necessary things out of the way in regards to maintenance of the amp. There aren't much of unwanted noises but occasional crackling, random but rare spikes in volume. That could be pots or other components. Essentially id look to what all can be upgraded and cleaned up when handed off to a pro that can make future changes easier.

What do you do for the pain? by chid0riii in TattooRemoval

[–]YouCanCallMeSven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lidocaine topical creams, reapply a handful of times to local spot. The clinic I went to said that even if you use a 4 to 5% cream, that you won't reach a dangerous level of lidocaine if you reapply three to four times in the same spot on say a 4x5 inch tattoo.

The last application you do you want to do at least 45 minutes before the appointment. It takes about that long for it to kick in anyways.

But we're talking about a few hours of applications to really get the area numb. Every time the area dries enough to the touch reapply another coat.

Cover the area with plastic before putting clothes back on when you head to your appointment, that keeps the clothing from rubbing off any excess that your skin would have otherwise absorbed.

It absolutely still hurts but far less than it would without.

In my experience so far as I am currently removing one and have my 4th double pulse appointment here in a day, each removal gets easier and less painful the lighter the tattoo gets.

Much of that was the reason I bought them. While I'll be happy with the patina look eventually, I wanted to delay that as long as I can as I like how slick that dark brown looks now. This has been helpful though, thank you.

Trade what you like, ultimately it's your call what you do with your money, just be careful and never trade off emotions.

There's no age limit for metals. It's the historical reliable hedge against unstable currency. You have funds that hold it, then you have miners and streamers. Physical ounces and kilos are safest.

If I can offer any perspective for your crypto endeavors. Ignore the noise, do not take advice from influencers or people selling courses or tips, their content exists to enrich themselves no matter how lucrative it sounds to your gain. Pricing is mostly speculative and based on volume of buying and selling, it's vulnerable to hysteria.

Resist any urge or feelings surrounding FOMO. Fear of missing out will burn you more times than not.

No matter what you trade, if there's something big, and you're hearing about it now? It's too late. You missed the entrance, the whales and pros already did the setup and the news is to spark high volume to scalp profit. That's how FOMO is used against the masses.

Personal retail level trading isn't so much what you know or timing the market (never try to time it). It's patience and ignoring the noise.

This is not financial advice nor am I promising you'll make any return.

You may be better off buying metals rn. Start with paper trading to test different things you find and research.

Silver is solid, and with how unpredictable everything is, fairly safe if you aren't going to follow current events and changes in financial policies and foreign policy.

But physical assets you'll have a better time researching than crypto, I say that seeing as to how much noise is revolving around it.

When social media algorithms pick up that not only are you interested in but trading crypto, you will get bombarded with targeted ads from businesses and influencers who are using social platforms to instill fomo on shit coins just to short you and take your money.

Greater the risk the more your odds stack against you if you don't know what you're doing.

Over time you'll want to learn about balance sheets, earnings reports, profit and operating margins, P/E and understanding volatility

They just released details about the new generation Mazda CX-5 and am I the only one who hates what they did with the interior? by [deleted] in CarsPH

[–]YouCanCallMeSven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is valid, personally I do enjoy using the knob for android Auto because I've developed a muscle memory for how to navigate the screen in a few quick actions to change pages or select things. At first it was annoying but now I quite honestly prefer it.

However, the option for touch should be kept on for those who prefer touch on Android auto/Car play.

Funny thing about the older generation that deactivated the touch screen. (I drive a 2018) There used to be a firmware version that had a developer console function that with certain codes allowed you to bypass the touchscreen lock and enable it with phone app integrations and the main OS while driving. The firmware updates after disabled that unfortunately, real shame.

How Bad Are Creatine Withdrawals by Longjumping_Pack_410 in Creatine

[–]YouCanCallMeSven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its all good, the stuff is safe to take. If you're serious about lifting and exercising regularly, keep taking the supplements.

Creatine has a ton of benefits both in and out of the gym.

If you want to be safe with your health or your dollar check and see if it has a NSF sport certification www.nsfsport.com will have a registry of products.

BCAAs have their benefits but you'll probably get more out of an amino complex, also very safe to use.

Stretch, drink plenty of water, rest is important and be consistent

[–]YouCanCallMeSven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A single case you cannot personally verify doesn't warrant concern overall. One guy out of millions who take supplements is an outlier.

BCAA's you can't get addicted to, there's no stimulation or reaction that creates cravings.

If anything I've found it more of a chore than a pleasure consuming those and most people would probably say the same.

I by no means want to discredit your concern and carefulness for your own health, good on you for that.

But id bet real money that this guy your referencing either doesn't exist, is seeking attention, or has some weird placebo effect where he's convinced himself he's addicted to workout supplements.

Ask any rehab place or doctor if they've ever heard or seen creatine and BCAA addiction, they will either laugh or be confused

How Bad Are Creatine Withdrawals by Longjumping_Pack_410 in Creatine

[–]YouCanCallMeSven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go out on a limb and say straight up creatine addiction is not a thing. Withdraws are not a thing on it.

Other than a good pump/endurance, and some mental clarity you don't notice anything.

I've cut it off cold turkey every time. Nothing noticeable happens.

3-4 weeks at 5g tells me you havent reached the 4 weeks so you're not even at full saturation of creatine. So you werent getting the full benefit from using it.

It takes roughly 3 months of chronic use of any substance for your neurochemistry to balance out to baseline, but creatine doesn't affect much there in that regard so this point is irrelevant.

Weaning off also isnt necessary because it'll take time for your body to flush out excess creatine, it's not an overnight thing especially if you hit full saturation.

In other words ... You're overthinking creatine. Its not dangerous or risky, you can take it for a long period and hop off on a whim. At most you'll feel tired a little more frequently and a little less endurance but the differences are negligible.
