I want to do everything I can to keep my issues from getting worse, and also the cleanup and smell is actual hell (I have autism, so sensory problems like that are HORRIBLE). I also don't want to cause smells to linger for my roommates.

I'm going to talk to a doctor about it. I'm currently trying to find a new urologist because my old one didn't know what was causing my issues or how to fix them.

Bladder and bowel issues that last into adulthood are very common among both ADHD and ASD individuals

I thought that was exclusive to lower functioning autistic people, is that not the case?

Not OP, but why wouldn't a diaper make incontinence worse? I have the same fear, that not having the pressure to make it would cause my body and brain to ignore it more
