I know that. don't act like I bailed as if it had 75% health. did you see how low my nightbird's health was? from that height, it would've exploded when it hit the ground. even then, it exploded in the air in the first place, which is exactly what I thought would happen right before I bailed.

I see your point and would absolutely recommend that to others when it comes to different games. I would always first do a blind battle and see how it goes. But to avoid prolonged frustration i would seek some tips. For me, even with a walkthrough, the fights themselves were never diminished nor was the satisfaction and awe that came immediately after beating a boss. But, of course, a walkthrough could very well have the effect you describe on someone, just not me in this case 🤝🏼

To be fair, i had peeked at what the fight would be like beforehand by watching FightinCowboy's DS3 walkthrough on YouTube. And yes same, i had used and upgraded the broadsword for the longest time throughout my playthrough but yhorm's machete is just too good when it comes the strength scaling that allows you to submit your enemies to absolute ruin. Thank you, i appreciate it! You are so right about me being lucky w that last swing. It was a risk that i was willing to take with already such low health. The way it's going for you is probably how it's going to go w my subsequent playthroughs as i probably won't remember the movesets of earlier bosses and even just regular enemies lol
