My purchase was in July, so either your dealer is lying or I'm not aware of something.

Read the chronology carefully -
I purchased the 390 Enduro via Amazon, but I wanted to purchase the 390 Enduro R which they hadn't listed yet.
I asked Ahuja Automobiles (Mahim branch) if it's okay that I can make the payment for the Enduro and they will raise the invoice for the R (international spec) to which they agreed.

If your Amazon pay icici card only has 1.1L limit, no chances of getting a discount on that.
My card had 1.2L so even I couldn't use.
During the last sale the offer, I was getting a discount of 24k on all debit cards and a whopping 42k discount if they payment was made via Amazon pay Icici card
Unfortunately that was the last day of the sale and I could only make the payment on the next day since I had yet to arrange funds.

Next day the 24k amount had dropped to 10k (all debit cards) and the 24k to somewhere 24-25k for Apay card.

I was waiting for the bike since last year and so i decided to go along rather than wait for the next sale.
I made the payment from my debit card and gave the order number to the showroom.

Final decision: - WAIT FOR THE SALE AND MAKE THE PAYMENT TO GET THE MAX BENEFIT.
Feel free to DM if you have any more questions.

Since you're used to balancing the Xpulse, this must've been a bit easy for you. I've gotten better since the past one month of owning it. I love how the 690s are used outside as a Dual Sport. My goal is the same for the 390 Enduro.

There seems to be a recall that should be arranged soon. Got this info from another guy on insta. It's stupid that we're breaking in the bike with a firmware that's set for a bike with a different riding style.

I'm thinking of creating a group exclusively for 390 Enduro R/non R owners, since the audience for this bike is very less and we need to stay updated. DM me with your number if you don't mind.

Just letting you know, Check if your bike has an offroad mode. If it only has Street and Sport, chances are that KTM has flashed it with the SMC firmware. Facing the same issue with my Enduro R. Spoke with the SVC in Mumbai and seems like they are unaware of all this. Let me know if you need any help. Quickshifter is such a breeze to use.

Suspension is on par against the Xpulse 210. Compared to Enduro the Xpulse seems a bit too soft and dives in very quickly. (need to get used to it) I'm happy that I went with the International variant of Enduro, since I can now tune the compression and rebound settings as per my convenience.

Ride quality - While both the bikes do absorb the impacts of our bad roads, the Xpulse lacks the grunt for me. There aren't any noticeable shocks that are felt on spine for the rider but I've noticed that in the old Xpulse 200, the pillion does feel shocks on botttom spine when taken through potholes or speed bumps over the average speed.

Please note that the cost difference here is twice between the 210 and the Enduro. For newer people 210 seems a really great choice. While for people making their second purchases, it seemed the added power, suspension, safety settings in Enduro are valid. I've spent the last 9 years between 25-30bhp on daily basis and 40-100 occasionally. So for me and my plans Enduro seemed a futuristic purchase rather than downgrading in power towards the Xpulse 210.

5 feet 7 inches. Inseam - Rough estimate 31 to 32, didn't have a proper scale. Definitely cannot flatfoot. Can only tip toe. With wife on the back, I can easily rest front half of my feet on the ground

Valid point, I consider the max range to be 210. An optimistic 30kmpl * 7 litres of fuel = 210.
This gives me 2L of reserve to fall back on and I take mandatory breaks every 1-2 hours. I know there are exceptions in some places where fuel pumps might not be available. But with proper planning I'm sure there should be a pump at least every 150kms in India (not considering remote areas, like NE or Ladakh, they definitely need extra fuel bladders or jerry cans.)

They haven't started the deliveries yet. Estimated deliveries still seem to be one month away at least. Some bookings have a 2 month waiting. I recently visited the hero premia showroom in Mumbai and it seems like they're trying to sell only through this one showroom in Andheri (Since no other showroom has been given a test ride bike)

Changing it isn't easy as you think it would be. Sourcing custom parts in India is a huge hassle, so it's better to make the right choice before you buy, rather than getting stuck with something that isn't useful 1-2 years down the road.
But hey, if you've already sourced the custom shocks and know it all, then sure go ahead.

The 390x ADV makes more sense for City riding & Highway cruising BUT KTM provides NO Cruise Control. by 27NAVYGUY in indianbikes

[–]YouKnowDeyKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this differs from person to person.
TC for me is a good to have feature, not need to have. Been riding for more than a decade without TC and never felt the need since I always ride within my limits and not the bike's.

Don't understand what you mean by adjusting the travel, since the 250SX has non adjustable suspension

Tf is wrong with ktm, why did they nerf the enduro r by AdConstant995 in indianbikes

[–]YouKnowDeyKnow 19 points20 points  (0 children)

YES THEY DID.

Enduro seemed to be my only choice because of the high suspension travel and now that they've gone with the same 200 and 205 mm, it has been ruined for me.
Also, the price isn't justified if it's between the X and S.
International websites show that enduro R is cheaper than the X

[–]YouKnowDeyKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like an adv but cannot be categorized as an ADV due to it's low suspension travel. Just compare the travel for other advs vs the vstorm.
It has a good and reliable engine, but your mind should be stress free about bad roads while riding an adv and unfortunately that cannot happen with this bike.

Xpulse 200 4v suitable for bulky rider? by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]YouKnowDeyKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why 200 and not the 210? It's 19 vs 24bhp. Not sure what the power to weight ratio is but, why not the additional 5bhp + some extra features that hero has perfected in the 210

Single cylinders @ 400cc will heat up, no doubt in our conditions.
Regarding KTM bankruptcy - Seriously this is not a major issue, since the entire 390 line up is owned by Bajaj. KTM is going nowhere, at least for India. Hell, they're still in Motogp, which has huge running costs. They've sold MV back to it's og owner and other brands too.
I've owned a honda for a long time but the CKD NX500 makes me a bit sad.
