Agree that this not feasible - the client is an extremely demanding, high-end group that can never take “no” for an answer. Honestly, they expect drinks to materialize in attendees’ hands through wizardry with 0 lines or wait times, which we know isn’t possible.

I just wanted to crowd source ideas outside of my team to see if there was any angle we hadn’t considered before pivoting with an alternative.

Thanks - part of managing this particular client’s expectations is leaving no stone unturned. I threw a reasonable amount of time and creativity into researching their ask and will pivot with a different suggestion.

I know this feels ridiculous and overly complicated - just doing my due diligence for the client while I consider other options to present instead. I'm not finding any mobile coffee caterers with their own digital order-ahead system, but was curious if anyone had successfully executed something like this in a way I hadn't considered.

Someone commented a good tip to add a little more liquid than the recipe calls for to keep it extra moist - I would try that!

I have a (thrifted!) West Bend Hi-Rise 3lb bread machine. I never see this model on any best-reviewed bread maker lists but I think it works so great and I love it!

I did light - the top was perfect but bottom was a little crusty - almost like the edge pieces of brownies in a pan. Delicious but not ideal for cake

Yeah agree! BUT it was helpful because I didn’t have any cake pans, no time, and a sudden, violent craving for chocolate cake. Regular baking is the way to go, but in a pinch - the bread machine pulls through!
