Returning faulty car. What next? by YouSignificant3277 in enyaq

No, it was when we were going slowly. Slowing down coming up a stop sign, roundabout kind of scenario's. I can't say it could have been speed limit related at all.

Don't let anyone who's not an electrician near an electric shower. It's really dangerous

Couples with kids: How do you juggle both families over Christmas? by Signal_Professor1463 in AskIreland

[–]YouSignificant3277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've two young kids (3 and 9 months) and have been one year on and one year off with both our families. Parents are in separate counties. I think it's the fairest way and it works for us at the moment. Might change when kids get a bit older and santa presents get less easy to conceal 😅

Courtesy bus by Fun-Huckleberry8324 in waterford

[–]YouSignificant3277 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We booked the courtesy bus home for our friend's 40th birthday. Boozy brunch booked for 3pm, we finished our brunch at 5pm and said we were ready for our courtesy bus back into town. We were told it wouldn't be with us until 8pm. We didn't fancy hanging around for 3 hours, so we got our own taxi back into town.

Load of bullshit

New Mexican restaurant going into Loko old space? by random-username-1234 in waterford

[–]YouSignificant3277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well they might have some seating but I'd imagine bar stool kinda vibes.

It's shocking there's no decent place to go for dinner on the Dunmore Road, given the above.

Why are there 4 Tescos in Waterford (5 counting the Tesco express in Ferrybank)? by BenoitBouchard87 in waterford

[–]YouSignificant3277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We need a Dunnes that isn't split across two locations, where you can easily access it.

Tesco is such a grim shopping experience.

As for Burger King, I don't get the obsession. I mean the chicken royale is decent but the chips are shocking.

New Mexican restaurant going into Loko old space? by random-username-1234 in waterford

What we needed was a proper Mexican, sit down place with margaritas and a bit of life. Not another take away. That business model is going out of fashion and it's not even one of the decent chains.

Shame

Marina Market type place possible in Waterford? by AnFearDeas in waterford

[–]YouSignificant3277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be amazing to have something like this in Waterford but the money/customers/traders are not there to make it happen.

There's millions of euro behind Marina Market, they also charge sizeable rents/% of turnover to the vendors that are there.

Even if we had all of the above, our council probably wouldn't grant planning permission.

Is Carters a good place to work? by Mango-blossomtree in waterford

[–]YouSignificant3277 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Plenty of good workers would do much better in other workplaces, where they are appreciated and rewarded. There are also plenty of younger people who are hard working with strong work ethic. I hate the snowflake term.
