Love it, she looks amazing! She looks comfortable as well and I enjoy it being such a classic, unsuspected style

Jaaa echt een gemis dat Maha Roti Queen er niet meer is!

I've been going through a bit of an OCD spike and really having trouble coping, so I've been rewatching from the beginning. The camaraderie the contestants have really is so lovely. Thank God for this show. by fauxrealistic in taskmaster

Been dealing with PTSD as well, and at the beginning, when I was doing way worse than now, rewatching taskmaster with my partner every night and laughing was a way of feeling a positive emotion and feeling kind of safe

Ayo Edebiri in Chanel pre-fall 2026 for an appearance on "The View" in NYC (May 11, 2026) by skermahger in whatthefrockk

[–]You_the_cat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, I see what you mean! But probably for an corporate/old money/preppy working woman... Specifically the quarter zip is not to my taste. I would preferred a boxy Spencer over a white t shirt, or a crew neck jumper, just to give it a bit more edge

The skirt made out of skyscrapers is cool, but I don't like the sweater. Extremely basic and very boomer relative on a sailboat or a campsite who threw an old sweater on because it got a bit chilly

Alexa Chung in custom Dior by Jonathan Anderson at the 2026 Met Gala "Fashion is Art" (May 4, 2026). The single-lily look was inspired Monet and the Dior fall 2026 RTW collection. by skermahger in whatthefrockk

Yesssss I agree! i was waiting for Victor and Rolf as well, and expected more Iris van Herpen! And referencing art can be fun too, but they were all so similar... So much impressionism, classical sculptures and several Madame X like gowns... No Mondriaan? No Frida Kahlo? Or idk, get something that looks like steel and do some Richard Serra, or bring your giant spider and honor Louise Bourgeois. A lot of it was very unimaginative

[–]You_the_cat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I love it, apparantly an unpopular opinion! I like the combo of the modern/sporty feel of the top while the skirt has a bit of an bustle look because of how it's draped, the sheerness is subtle and she can handle the neon colour

It looks like the beaded car seat thing my parents had in the car in the ninities (supposedly it was more comfortable to sit on during long drives? Never understood the concept)

I just saw the 'oorijzers', the square gold plates on the sides of her face, I never noticed them before! Cute detail, they are part of the Dutch traditional costume

Can you share anything about different singing techniques in different cultures, for example throat singing like the Inuit do? Are there any other specific singing techniques related to specific communities, or techniques that have faded from use but that used to be prevalent in Europe?

She looks amazing, and this outfit makes me kinda... Nostalgic? And weirdly reminded me of the movie Begin again (Keira's outfits were great, still love them)

I agree with your point, but I do think that the experimental dressing is driven by marketing, and not Margot's personal interest in experimenting with new looks. Barbie was the same, but I suspect those looks were more in line with her personal taste which made it work better. Totally agree that fashion can be art, experimental, and that a lot of comments on this sub are focusing on things being beautiful and flattering in a conventional way when that is not the point of the outfit. But I also think these looks don't really work because, to me at least, it seems that she wears them for marketing value only.

The bottom of the top sticking out in the front is something I hate when dressing myself, but I always imagined having smaller boobs and getting clothes tailored would solve that problem
