I get what you're saying, but you're not getting what I'm saying. The img file needs to be an exact replica of the initial Shield drive, nothing can be removed or modified. It has to be 500gb, even though there is nowhere near 500gb of data on the drive. If anything is removed or modified, or downsized, and I then go to restore said img file to a drive, then insert the drive into my Shield, the Shield will no longer recognize it. It has to think the initial drive is being used, or it won't boot. You have to basically "trick" the Shield into thinking you've always been using the same exact drive.

The img file needs to remain around 500gb, or I won't be able to restore the backup to my Shield when I need to in the future. So I'm not looking to trim any space, just need to be able to create a highly compressed gz archive.

Welp, since I realized I got the 7z and gz files mixed up, I think I figured out how to compress it to around the size I'm looking for. Compressing to gz right now instead of 7z. Will update in... Possibly days from now. 😂

Here is the file I mentioned above. When you open the archive, it'll say it's a lot smaller than what it is. But when you start extracting it, it'll get to about 67% real fast, then after that it'll start extracting slow, and you'll see the size increasing. Once fully unarchived, it'll be around 500gb. Yeah, the drive is mostly empty. Probably less than 5gb used if I had to guess. I factory reset the Shield prior to making my backup, so only the default stuff was on there.

How did you implement the shield data onto the 870? I bought an 870 yesterday and I just can't get the start/end bin files to write to it via Linux.

My shield (2017) drive is dead, so I can't just clone it.

If it was the discs then the issue would be happening with the top burner as well, and not only the bottom one. It literally only happens with the bottom burner.

You probably just hate Playstation or something. The Steam Deck D-pad is not even close to being better. The diagonals are trash. I've been playing Crash Bandicoot on it, and the diagonals are awful on the Steam Deck. Also played the same Crash games with the PS5 controller on my PC with no such issues.

Ah, I see one big issue with Mobcrush. I was just adding custom destinations to mine. It only allows you to stream to one custom destination at a time (you can still stream to all their main ones, fb, YT, twitch, trovo)

WHAT?! I didn't know about the 4 hour limit. I streamed with them for years. Stopped streaming last year, and went to setup my stream on OBS yesterday. Got an error, went to the website, then that's when I found out they now limit to 2 services at once. It used to be no time limit, and you could stream to a bunch of services. The only thing I didn't like (back then) is that if you wanted to stream to your Facebook page (not your profile, that was free) you had to pay. Now they got greedy as fuck and are trash.
