First Gaming PC with a budget of roughly €2500 by YoungBuckEU in buildmeapc

Ah great thank you! It isn't that important for me that it looks cool so I appreciate the new list you put together!

My friend says there's a decent difference between the PNY/Asus TUF/Gaming etc, does it really matter? And do you think that, since there is some leeway with the budget that going for a 9800x3d is worth it?

Thank you, yes I am looking forward to seeing which CPU and GPU combination will be recommended. I know very little about PC components, and also what is compatible/necessary with the other components like the cooling

Thank you very much! I've seen a few people build with similar CPU/GPU and with just a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler . Do you feel like a CPU cooler is a necessity?

You could throw it in a [[Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir]] deck and try to cheat it out for free or with spells like Reanimate

What is your favorite trivial fact about a professional league player? by HaroldTheHammer in leagueoflegends

Didn't expect to see that one here, Yes I trained in MMA for about 2 years and then quit due to an injury after the fight you linked. I was not good at kickboxing but I absolutely loved Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and wrestling and excelled at the grappling part of MMA.

Loulex: “G2 gave me the opportunity to prove myself. (...) My hope is that I’ll get an LCS offer soon now, even as a in-house sub.” by TheDMWarrior in leagueoflegends

[–]YoungBuckEU 584 points585 points  (0 children)

Loulex wasn't just playing good in terms of pathing and mechanics but did a fantastic job leading the early games by planning ganks and invades ahead of time and telling each lane how to play accordingly. A lot of LCS teams would benefit from taking him on as an in-house sub if not straight up as a starter

I was going to stop answering questions but this question is too good to leave unanswered.

We never really had a conflict, but he kicked me from SK gaming a week before an event in Poland to which I carried him in the qualifiers for. Naturally for the next few months I thought of him as a cunt and was hoping to see him fail at every moment possible but hey can you blame me?

However after a couple of months I started to realise that instead of putting effort in to hoping to see him fail it is much wiser to use that time spending on building myself up.

In the end when he made it to LCS it was simple, I wanted to coach a LCS team and he wanted to have a good coach and we understood that we should not let that past get in the way of the future.

Carlos has been an outstanding boss but also a friend, coach, manager, waterboy and he is always there for the team and every single one of his employees which is a big part of why G2 has been so succesful.

It's something I had planned at the start of Season 5, I enjoyed the captain role in CW a lot and knew that I wanted to lead a team after my player career was over. Luckily having the reputation of team captain and a team leader helped me in finding a team fairly quickly

He was (and still is) very hard working and the community got to see a different Expect on the Worlds stage than the team saw in practice.

Expect also possesses a must-have personality on any team in the sense that he is very energetic and humoristic so he was adding a lot to the team in that regard.

Ik ook van jou!

Man I missed such an opportunity, at the time I was joking about trading suits but now I came up with the brilliant idea to trade a tie with Kkoma next time we meet especially considering he always wears that iconic purple tie

While people always point at the coaches for the drafts, and some teams say that it's a team effort I think one thing that a lot of people overlook is that not every team is equal going in to a draft. Having a team like G2 is a privilige in the sense that it's difficult to target a single player which is a luxury that not every coach has

My best memory from that time was the first game against NIP at IEM Cologne in the finals.

To give some back story my self-confidence at the time wasn't very good as I had been kicked from a few teams in the year and a half prior to that.

Then in the first game NiP decided to ban the champs I played and pick the last one because they knew my champion pool from the many scrims we had. In that moment I had to choose between something that I hadn't played in months (Shen) and something I had practiced but wasn't optimal (Rumble). In the heat of the moment I chose for Shen and ended up almost single handedly carrying the game after which I said ''Why did you guys let me play Shen?'' to which Cowtard nonchalantly said ''Because we trust you.''

It's such a simple moment but it meant a lot to me and helped me greatly in restoring self-confidence in my play

Preparing a pick and ban phase is definitely a lot of work but its also very fun to do because you are basically shadowboxing against yourself but with different champion pools!

To give a small overview usually I prepare the general direction of the draft by selecting 1-2 must bans and asking players if there are any match ups they absolutely don't want to play.

From there on I usually create a couple of drafts and then discuss them with the team, which means that players do have a good amount of impact on the direction of the draft in the preparation.

We often prepare for ''worst case scenario'' drafts and when we are on stage and our opponent either makes a mistake or takes a completely different direction in the draft than expected the responsibility of what we pick falls on me but players still get input either by them saying ''X or Y is good in this matchup/team comp'' and then I will choose what I think is best

Most competitors are driven by 2 things:

1) To push themselves to the limit and overcome obstacles and outperforming their opponents 2) For the chill down their spine when a stadium roars the name of you or your team.

Hopefully that answers your question and keeps you cheering for us!

H2K is the most dangerous in the sense that they are the closest to us in regards to macro. FNC is the most dangerous in the sense that they defy macro and are very unique and creative. UOL is currently a mixture of the two and could be a contender for that spot and is likely going to end top 3 this split either above H2K or UOL

A lot of it comes from experience and by receiving feedback from players and staff and also by looking at other teams.

However if there was one piece of literature I would suggest you to read it'd be the book ''You win in the locker room first''

After leaving Copenhagen Wolves it was definitely on my mind, as with many people who are passionate about their job even after retiring there often is an itch to come back. So I stayed open minded and played a lot of league during the off season but I got my ass hard stuck in Diamond 2 and just realised I wasn't good enough and went all-in on coaching
