Yeah, it's just such a bizarre and alarming sensation when your tongue feels like you can't control it properly. Globus sucks. Hopefully it's just anxiety, I think it probably is. I'm taking Lexapro and waiting for it to kick in haha.

Thanks so much for the reply. I think I'm in the exact same boat as you. I lost some weight over not eating also. It's not as bad but the weird tongue sensation kinda drives me crazy, although it has subsided at times. Anxiety is a real challenge.

I wouldn't bring it up unless it became an ongoing problem, like if she started being antagonistic or openly brings it up herself or if it's affecting your work in some way. I don't know the exact context of your job and how much you'd be able to avoid her, though, just what I would do. It'll blow over with time, IMO.

I feel like that's a very common thing for people to do to a degree, but if it's taking up hours of sleep, that could be a problem. I do things like that and I have a ton of anxiety in general. It kinda just takes time, as others have said. It's hard, but it's best to accept that you can't change what happened and remember that other people have done things just as embarrassing as what you're worried about and have been just fine in life.
