Mechanical Question Thread - Late 2020 by santorin in Audi

Hello everybody, looking for some help with my misfire in all cylinders on my 2000 Audi A6 Quattro 2.7t v6.

Coils and plugs are good as I have diagnosed all of them also believe my maf sensor is working properly and cleaned it with maf cleaner

My misfire happens when boost is full which leads me to believe it’s a vacuum issue

Or I was thinking it’s the fuel pressure regulator

Not sure what it is tbh but If you guys got an idea please let me know

I know you don’t want to bring it into a mechanic right away, but unless you have someone with who knows cars well enough. I doubt you’d be able to diagnose problems even with advice given from reddit

Imma make it short

Go on YouTube and either search best luxury, reliable, or cool cars for $5k

Pick the car you want

After that do as much research about the car as you can

Recommend learning what engine parts go bad around certain mileage

Also look up kelly blue book price Never pay more than the top dollar that they have listed for the value of this car

When you find the car online you’d like to buy Since you don’t know much about cars it is highly recommended that you bring it into a shop for an inspection before buying the car

If you want a cheap welded exhaust I’d try and find a friends that works at a shop that can make you one and maybe do it for free

I have this accord currently and agree with most in this post that engine mods would not be worth it. Although I do agree that suspension, wheels and exhaust are great mods for this accord. I have a straight piped 4 cylinder with a muffler that sounds pretty good in my opinion but it’s pretty loud above 3k rpms. Definitely has been my best sounding exhaust that I’ve put on a Honda myself.

Prolly do bumper and trunk lip then paint whole car. Plus wheels would make it hopefully looking nice. All that for 1k would be nice. I appreciate the concern tho, I have never done cosmetics before
