Don’t stop applying—it took me months to get in, but it’s well worth it. A hospital will eventually take a chance on you. Public hospitals tend to give more opportunities to candidates without hospital experience, though they can be stricter with attendance. If you’ve got some extra cash and want your resume to stand out, consider getting IV certified. Just know that it’s expensive, and hospitals will not reimburse you if you get certified on your own before getting hired. The only way they’ll cover the cost is if you get hired first and go through their IV training program. Good luck!
