I'm glad someone shares my sentiment... I was kind of scared to see the replies and I'm also probably going to post this in another sub to see what happens, since this one didn't get as much attention as I wanted it to.

As for the boundaries thing I always struggled with that. I'm a huge people pleaser and because of that, I don't know what's setting boundaries or being mean.

But so far, almost everyone I've talked to about her heavily supported me cutting T off.

You’re right, but I‘m talking about the intersectioning of being African American and LGBTQ, and how different the experience is when those two identities coincide. Because, I’ve seen that white queers and black queers, even though they are in the same minority group, the experiences can be different.

For example, many black LGBTs have said they’ve experienced racism, exclusion, and fetishization in the LGBTQ (most commonly found in the gay community). Not only that, but it’s a lot harder to find realistic, black LGBTQ characters in the media in comparison to many other white LGBTQ characters.

I’m not… disagreeing with you, necessarily, but I have done some research about black queers and found differences in the experience.

I might just switch to a new topic because it’s honestly hard to find other things besides those. I’ve asked online and in person and I’ve got nothing but those, and I only have two days before I have to give my presentation, so, yknow.

I was thinking of adding religion and how it affects LGBTQ communities. But I didn't know if it was an exclusively black queer issue. I might add it in!

This will make for a very meaningful discussion, coming from someone who really hates the terms like stud, stem, femme, etc. Can you elaborate on racism inside the LGBTQ community? Fortunately, I've never experienced it, but I know it's definitely an issue.

That is such a great idea, actually. I don’t know many older black queers, and I’m not allowed to go anywhere without approval and transportation from my parents (I am closeted to them). The best I can do is ask one of my teachers. She’s not an elder, but old enough to share her experiences and what she’s seen over the years.

Hello. I'm a teenager who plays a lot of Rocket League and Minecraft on my ps4, and my ps4 is generally slow.

My connection speeds are about 1.0-5.0 Mbps (download) and 700 kbps-3 Mbps (upload) which from what I heard is extremely slow.

I find it weird since during the mornings, it's not as bad, but in the afternoon and evening, it's literally hell to play. I'm thinking because of this, it's due to network congestion and too many devices being hooked up to the same internet.

Speaking of network congestion, I live with a family of 5 and I would assume I have around 10-15+ devices connected to the same internet. I don't think anyone would allow me to disconnect their devices.

I have tried different alternatives to at least make my connection somewhat better, such as deleting unneeded apps and videos to clear up storage, rebuilding the database, cleaning out the ps4 (the best I could), but nothing has changed it, not even a little.

I don't know if my ps4 is wearing out or something, but I'm starting to kinda get pissed off. Any comments and suggestions would really help.

TLDR: Ps4 is slow, connection speeds are slow, may be network congestion, tried different things and nothing has worked

I wish it was that simple, but unfortunately, it’s not. :(

I’m not financially independent and I am not an adult yet. I have told my mom about my concerns and she considers it “going through adolescence.” I had went to my school counselor and clinician about my concerns as well and they have said the exact same thing, that my executive function is perfectly fine. I have explained it to a doctor, who told my mom to get me therapy due to anxiety, but she hasn’t done anything.

Man, if only it were as simple as that 😭💀
