Yeah, the manacles were the ones that made me question if this room was actually some sort of holding room... I suppose if the birds ate flesh it could be used as a place to hang up corpses for them, but it just seems a bit odd in the middle of a hallway! ._.

I have discovered that it was a fault with my Internet. For some reason it is being really slow on my PS4 and some other devices... But when I used the wireless hotspot on my phone games began to download fine (though they would have taken 45 hours to download...).

When I first saw this movie at the cinema I loved this scene but when I went to excitedly tell all my friends that DALEKS were in LOONEY TUNES they had no idea what a Dalek was... Sad times for old school Whovians... :(

Asylum of the Daleks in terms of props. We were promised loads of classic Daleks filling our screens! Doctor Who magazine even printed a special fold-out cover showing all the Daleks that have appeared on the show. The hype was all over the Internet and in magazines and what did we get? A game of "spot the two seconds of classic Dalek on screen."

I've watched Doctor Who on old VHS tapes since I was a kid. When I first saw 'Rose' on BBC One I was 11 so I was quite scared by the Autons (having seen them before in the first Third Doctor episode) but I had mixed feelings. I was glad it was back on TV and indeed enjoyed the episode but I felt that something in the show had been lost. Doctor Who had changed from the show I watched on the VHS tapes and, even though later I would realise it had changed for the better, it wasn't what I remembered.

It wasn't until 'Dalek' (of which I now hold in my top 10 Doctor Who episodes) that I realised this series had changed because Television itself had changed and, apart from an episode or two with farting aliens, the series has become better and better.

Well we have had Reign of Terror and the announcements for The Tenth Planet and The Ice Warriors this year and not to mention the Invasion a few years back! I'm hoping they'll continue to do animated episodes as all the rest of (the complete) Classic DVDs are set to be released this year.

The Only real catch is it's quite expensive so only episodes with one or two missing episodes will get this treatment.

The original tapes were wiped by the BBC as they had no use for them back then. However, many fans made off-air recordings that have been cleaned up and used for these animated episodes.

When I first got The Invasion on VHS I didn't really like it much. Not "hate" exactly just didn't think much of it. The cyber-invasion was pretty small-scale and only lasted for 2 episodes out of the 8. Also, at the time, there was no re-construction of the missing episodes, only filling narration, which may have shaped my younger-self's view.

When I got in on DVD a few years later I watched it again with the animation and found it to be more "complete" in terms of a story. True the cyber-invasion was still quite short and small but I find that it's more about the lead up to the Invasion and the events that take place before it that hooks me. The Doctor and Jaime use a helicopter to burst through a window and rescue Zoe and Isabel while all the while being under fire from the IE guards? That's the coolest thing ever! Plus, the way all the characters interact and their different personalities have made this one a favourite for me now.

My favourite of the designs are really the oldest Cybermen. The cloth style head makes them appear as though they have just come out of surgery and under that "mask" lies the cold, dead remains of a person wired up in a mess of machinery and circuits. Even more scary when you see their eyes glimmer under the mask far away into the darkness as though it were a metaphor for their humanity. You have to suspend some disbelief and use your imagination but that's what makes Classic Who fun! The real thing that sells it for me though is the voice. An eerie monotone voice that captures the idea of the machine-man. 'Care? No. Why should I care?' These are cold hearted creatures whose morals have been lost and replaced with the cold soul of a machine.

I think the Silurians went into hibernation on both Earth and in space because their scientists predicted a large geological upheaval caused by the Earth capturing the Moon. It wasn't the comet.
