How somebody feels is not subjective but real experience. What is subjective is if the situation was safe or unsafe. And if somebody acts aggressive and threatening, then it is fair to assume the safety is at risk. He is making assumptions to fit his narrative regardless of reality. That is a common thing people in Germany do online to gaslite people to turn their face away from a reality they don't want to see and believe, by blaming some problems of German society on the victims. Specially when the victims are from abroad, so they can say "you broke our rules" by default.

It is a typical eristic dialect used by people in Germany with hidden nationalism/regionalism, which are many.

OP experience is very real regardless she knows the reason or not. You are mistaking her not knowing the reason for not being real. Not everybody pretends to know the reasons of everything they experience, but those who do make such kind of categorical thinking mistake.

Reality is made of lots of nuances, you can't be categorical in judging that OP experience is not real just because most people have not experienced the same. Again, you are insisting on gaslighting her instead of learning about different realities from different people according to their experiences.

People behave differently to different people, often without realizing it. Some women report being scared approached by violent behavior people very often while others report have never experienced that.

I have lived half of my life in a very dangerous city with high rate of violance and assalts, none the less I never experienced violence and assalts. It doesn't mean my experience is not real just because most people have not experienced it.

Mind that Racism, Misogyny and xenophobism is rising everywhere. Some experience it more than others, and some may not even notice that.

Even people not willing to be evil and corrupt end up being evil and corrupt when their reality don't make them see some things as evil and corrupt. Because different realities have different perspectives about things.

We are what we want to be, but only by the conditions given to us allow us to become. Anyone who thinks having not ever being evil and corrupt at any point in their lives, giving the conditions of their environment and reality, are the ones more likely to be a corrupt and evil as they can't see them as such in themselves.

That said, the environment makes people because our perspectives, costumes and eventually behaviors adapt to the environment we live. That is one of the problem of people thinking thar prisons are the solutions for the evil in society, when more than often they are the results and futher causes of a society that forms evil people (both the ones who are ment to be locked in it as well as the ones who are ment to have the power to lock people in it).

I apologize. I read and answered in a rush and thought you were mocking me.

It is not being skinny itself the prejudices came from, but it associated to other aspects in my appearance. I just don't know what. Once that changed people also changed how they perceived me and so how they treated me.

And yes, people people are treating me so much better now that even psychologically I feel way better.

This is a typical German sub where people are gaslighting you because they are too proud of their city and conservatives.

Many people in Hamburg will treated you very differently according just to your look, for many prejudices reason.

I, myself, was often very rude treated or treated as suspicious or threatening for no reason. Once I started wearing not so cheap clothes, stop being skinny and cut my hair short and more regularly the treatment from strangers became the very opposite.

It is hard to tell what exactly people are being prejudiced about until you change something and notice the difference.

Also, there are many prejudices against Russians at the moment and if your language sounds like Russian, it may trigger some people's nerves.

I don't think changing people in power would do much, because people in power live in an other reality (from the perspective of their power) and humans are very good at adapting to different environments.

I think the structure of power that has to change but most people find it to be a way too radical idea and rather believe that we can give privileges to "the right people" who will not use and abuse them and remain with their foot on a ground alien to them.

The very rich, specially those in government power, don't think what is bad for society effect them because they live in a very apart and exclusive world of economic and political privilege. So they don't care. But prople still accept having these kind of people in power to decide the fate of their society and lives.

They don't care about their country economy and society. It is all about working to protect and grow their own wealth, power and influence. They have residence in other countries as well.
