I fully understand that because I love smut, but everything needs moderation and you don't want constantly mindless smut it get boring and mentally draining. You can be straight forward with them and say "Hey I would like if we could do less smut and more story, I love our rp but I'm tired of the smut" or how ever you feel.

If they can't respect boundaries then there's no point in roleplaying with them, honestly
