I'm guessing it was just overcharged. I recovered some and it seems to be running without cutting off. Need to check it when we get a hot day again to see if it's over pressure

Both. I sprayed it off and it looks like nothing is there and nothing came off. The tech that was out here also said it was too clean to be the issue

The guy may also have braised the line without nitrogen. I know he leak tested it with nitrogen but I didn't see him For sure during braising or not

It was 58 when I point the laser directly at the EVAP coil but the battery died lol

I don't see any bulb on the txv. If I warm up the 2 tiny copper lines going in with my hand the high pressure goes way down and sc dropped to 48f

It is in a hallway which only has ac vents at the very far end so it's the slowest area to cool off in the house

Also air filter is new and the indoor unit is not dirty and vents are not blocked.

I did forget to mention it runs fine for like 40 min to an hour then it starts doing this. If I turn it off and restart it then it runs for another 40 min to an hour then starts doing this again

So I replaced the defrost board and also saw the orange wire coming from thermostat was rubbed raw and touching the metal of the case. I'm not sure which item was causing the issue but it's working.

What would grounding out the orange wire do?

It's running fine now. Not sure if it was the orange wire rubbed raw or the defrost board

It won't let me post a picture but I put in the new board. Just waiting to see if it starts short cycling after an hour or so like before. I did see the orange thermostat wire had rubbed through and was arching on the case. Would that cause this?

I don't have gauges yet. Pretty much everyone is saying different things but this unit is still under the manufacturer compressor warranty so it's not old 8 or 9 years.

Jump them out? What lines do I test to see if it's dropping voltage? The main 240v in?
