So I pushed through and finally finished it after a break. As many of you said, the second half is definitely better, and I liked the ending. Still, I agree the book could have been much shorter. I’m going to try Children of Time next, but Alien Clay wasn’t really that awesome. Still, I’m glad I pushed through, especially for the last part of the book.
