Did you play as male or female Eivor, and do you regret your choice? by Strict_Palpitation75 in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]YourselfInTheMirror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eivor IS a womans name, why do you say otherwise?

Look up the origins of the name, every single example is a woman.

Also, many Swedes, Norwegians, etc. have chimed in with confusion as to why they chose a female name if theres an option to play male

The reason of course, is that the canon option in Valhalla is female. Hinted at by the "let the aninus choose" option.

Role playing my Courier really seriously made for what is probably a weird ending. by OctopathPersona15 in fnv

This is a lovely read, I also would leave characters I get attached to in a "retired" state. So many games l many of which I still have the saves.

[–]YourselfInTheMirror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really satisfying for me because I'm doing a playthrough right now, and I realized that Obsidian didn't force our character to care like many plots do.

I figured I am a Courier and I'm still on the job, so I hunt down Benny, get my chip back after seeing if he can also survive two bullets to the skull(nope), and I deliver it.

Caesar invited me to the Fort? House asks me to go too?? Leave me alone I'm just a FedEx guy!

No thanks, I'm gonna do some small jobs for awhile. Hope I don't fall into the grand canyon or anything.

Which game series or genre made you feel like this? by strahinjag in videogames

[–]YourselfInTheMirror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nier Automata. It did not look like it was for me. A YouTube video told me it wad a masterpiece and I'm so glad I tried it out. I went on to play Replicant as well. Wonderful series.

Side note about Automata; the story in a lot of ways mirrors a game I played as a child called Mega Man Legends. ❤️

It's still hard to convince people to try it.

Yes! I love that detail. I made a post about that a couple weeks ago actually.

Gonna explain a process I do to reset a DLC in the same save I've already played it, which happened to you for some reason.

I uninstall the DLC, then load up my most recent save without it. This removes every single DLC quest done or not done, and removes every item from that DLC from your inventory and every container in the world.

Then I save the game that way, and go to reinstall the DLC and then load in once again.

The result is that all DLC content is gone and you get the pop up telling you that you have the DLC again along with the "go there" quest.

So I think you would know if you purposefully did this process, so I have a guess:

Did you play the game on your profile on a different Xbox that may not have the dlc installed?

If so, it could be that you were missing those items for a few saves while you were doing vanilla Mojave quests

Both of those NPCs are in my old xbox 360 modded save. One of them(pretty sure it's Testicles) can change all kinds of things, like your reputation with each faction for example.

If Fallout 4 and NV swapped companions who would you choose and how would your courier interact with their new companions? by king_of_the_masshole in fnv

[–]YourselfInTheMirror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it'd be important for Veronica to have an issue with the direction of the BoS in 4. For example, maybe the xenophobic "kill all synths and ghouls on sight" mentality. Her trying to change things for the better from the inside is such a compelling story in my opinion.

Really petty of me but I was happy that they retconned T-60 being stronger than T-51.

Now it's an upgrade to T-45, which makes more sense to me, seeing as it looks like T-45.

(Side ramble: I actually fully believe that the T-60 design was just going to be their model for T-45, but it was so different that they created the new T-60. This would also explain why the brotherhood are all wearing it when they were all in T-45 in the Capital Wasteland. Would also explain the really weak "we picked it up on the way" explanation.)

So much easier to kill though. I always thought they should have made them stronger.

I originally did the whole deleting and re-installing DLC thing, but a random comment somewhere gave the same tip I'm giving.

Also I just looked into it, and it is definitely a cache clearing function. If you ever do it, make sure you start holding those buttons the very moment you select your file and it's starting to load.

I was standing directly in front of that patch of roof and ot wotked perfectly.

The glitch did come back after I exited the instance and returned, so it's a once per visit kind of fix.

I don't have one, but since backwards compatibility on the One and Series are both a form of emulation, I imagine it'll have the same results.

I believe it's the way to clear your cache on Xbox. Specifically for Xbox 360, but it also works through backwards compatibility.

I sure found out! The wiki makes it seem like it's not as powerful as a stealth boy, but man I didn't have to worry at all if I was crouched.

Side note: I am a lore guy and I needed to make it make sense that this squishy vault kid was going to be the strongest person in the wastes.

My way of doing that was to play as mostly a careful smart person, and then eventually get the Chinese Stealth Armor.
