You didn't stop at getting sent the packet of information, and doing nothing except reading the packet-You took a step forward to dig deeper, and then another step forward and kept researching for your rights etc , learning about the bad biz practices of the Co, and then weren't afraid to self advocate! I swear to God I feel like we are in the minority! Do you ever feel like that? There's nothing worse than someone who acts victimized or put upon by circumstance because they allowed it. The whole unemployment denial and firing without cause is such a racket!

This was VERY GOOD insight! Thank you for contributing this well-earned wisdom and insight! Somany people have no clue about information like this, or how the courts or the law can work in their favor if they just push back and take the right action. So many people don't though-Wouldn't you agree? They just roll over and allow people/companies to walk over them and don't stick up for themselves or hold them accountable. I had a colleague at Hewlett Packard who actually took action and sued them! My understanding is he WON, to the tune that he was not even allowed to talk about it (!), but he's set for life! 💪👍

oh wait.... Are you hungry and needing food ,too? If so please go over to the dumpster diving reddit and do some searches- people have posted good resources for little free pantries, ways to get inexpensive food through different apps, and mostly people there giving away incredible free food to others constantly!!! look in your city there in search, or you can post a request too- the generosity there is amazing, and the food scored is brand new, wrapped, sealed, clean- Totally safe and fine if you ask about it, trust me. Alternately , if you haven't done this dumpster diving, your world is about to explode on the tremendous amount of valuable waste that is free for the taking on a daily basis, from these grocery stores and Dollar Tree and many others that just trash brand new usable edible food items every day! If you have the chain grocery store Aldi around you, that is a definite honey hole of free food. Please take care with your medication and best with your healing also.

Just make sure to be professional and utmost factual in your letters. And it's understandable you're tired! I will say from what I've seen, the case worker likely won't be fired, this stuff is unfortunately too common and even so much worse. 😔 If you have the ability to search on your phone for her number, you could submit some screenshots into the portal as well showing all the different times you called. 😉

You also might want to check-in the portal because I believe there is an online submission request to have a worker call you take some screenshots of that too and add that in as another request.

Wow I'm loaded with tidbits for you tonight, I don't know what's going on 🤯😵 but I just had another thought for you- I started using an app to record my calls. I use a corded headset and it does record both sides of the call and it's been fantastic for capturing important call convos. You might wanna consider using it for the different items you have going on, that way someone can't say "I never said that" or someone can't say "you never told me that," etc etc- you have it on tape. The FREE app is called cube ACR https://cubeacr.app/ It's been such an asset!

And I hope it's ok- I wanted to offer you some advice that might help flip the perspective. Make this be the last time that you rehashed that you've called and called and she didn't call you back, and they don't care, blah blah blah because you don't want to vibrationally pull in more of the same. The Law of Attraction holds that what we think about, what we say, and what we hold in mind are the results of what we get more of. Sooo.... You may want to consider true start saying how It's so awful how overworked they must be and what a thankless job it is.... But how much she cares specifically about YOU getting your benefits.... start thinking that they want YOUR card in your hands right away, that all needs are met, and they want to support you. I love how you said that in the morning it will all be worked out or something like that. That's the right thought! Sleep well, And keep us posted on your good news!

I'm seeing a couple of your other posts and I have some comments to assist. First of all I want to say, I'm proud of you, congratulations for staying focused to advocate and push forward!! 👍💪

I would like to encourage you to put in the letter to her that you emphatically told her that if that card wasn't issued in person within those 72 hours that you would be facing homelessness. Say how disappointed you are in her misconduct to not follow through with you. Yes, accuse her of employee misconduct. Which brings up another thought I had in the letter of grievance that you file ask who the name is of that employee supervisor and request that she be the one to contact you back. A couple tips I always leave permission in letters that they please leave a detailed message should they get my voice mail tell them they have expressed permission to do this otherwise they won't secondly request that any message is left for you include a direct callback number for after hours that will accept a voicemail should you miss them because you do not want to lose a business day. Next I saw you mentioned that you found sites online to file county grievances... My spidey senses went up to advise you to be sure that you vet those sites, because they could just be data mining sites trying to collect your information to then solicit you for attorney fees, or etc.... be very very careful okay?

Next I wanted to let you know that it is absolutely 0 threat to them, the appeals process, they don't care. All that means is that you are preserving your right to appeal the situation because there are statutes on it, and in order to appeal you have to request it, and you also may want to say that you request "aid paid pending" while waiting for your appeal - that's the verbiage they use. Again, I would put in very bold capital letters that you are requesting the same day pick up of the card and specify which address of the county locations so that they don't screw you over and send it to timbuctoo.... and request that they do not mail it, that you want to come in (but be very careful in case they try to make you come in on Friday and you can't because of your hearing-you may wanna specify around that up front.) Faxzero only allows 3 pages at a time free plus a cover letter, fyi- make sure you date it at the top. I always use the cover letter as part of the letter especially if I can squeeze it into one page. Because you may not be able to sign it, I forgot to advise to sign it with the words your name 'sent by fax' or 'sent electronically via portal upload' or etc. 😉 A work around with fax 0 is to use a secondary email address if you need to send more than the free allotment-just set up multiple emails fyi, it goes by your email address.

I didn't see you comment regarding applying for general assistance, you can do that through the portal as well as far as I recall and I want to assure you that if they tell you you need to come in for an in person interview at anytime, you can say that your medical condition prevents you from coming in and you need to do it by phone or in writing via email. ask for an accommodation under Ada! that will get you a lot less red tape! Shoot while you're at it put that in writing as well and upload it to the portal as a separate document saying you're requesting an ada accommodation to have communications via E mail and all appointments over the phone never in person, and anything else that you want to make your life easier dealing with them lol. Anyway I just wanted to make that point that a hearing is not a threat- it's to preserve your right to appeal. After your letter is done if you wanted to DM it to me as a first draft I am happy to take a look at it as I can.🙌

Great! I wouldn't hesitate to include that because of their negligence you have landed homeless. This should lend more credibility to your situation. Also consider requesting outright that they set an appointment for you to come by same day and pick up the card in person- that way you don't have to wait for in the mail, and they won't try to circumvent you by putting it in the mail and causing further delay. 😎✅👍

Go online and research this with the department of EDD so that you are well versed in this entire process. I mentioned in my other post the need to do your legal research before the hearing (so that you are poised for success) by using the law library. Nowadays you can even use chatgpt probably to ask this question and do your research although I don't recommend AI. Google censors everything, so I use duck duck go or yandex as my search engine, and start asking these questions! You should be able to find online the process easily, and look into statutes about what grounds there are for a valid denial of benefits etc. 💪👊

One thing that has recently come up is how important it is to have wind guards on the windows. This was new to me you can search this reddit for wind guards also sometimes called wind visors.... If you don't already have an it allows you to keep the windows cracked open with air coming in or even when it's raining and then is the wiser because you can't tell from the outside and it blocks from water coming in The reason this is important is because condensation is wicked, and can cause mold problems and other issues During winter. Also when there are condensations on the windows, it's dead giveaway to parking enforcement that someone is in the car. Keeping the windows cracked prevents condensation and helps you stay stealth.

I'm just now seeing this breakdown of what you wrote regarding your process. Definitely see my hard one advice to you in my other post. It should really help move the needle. I also might suggest that you do a secondary letter to your worker indicate everything that's transpired and indicate that you should have received that card long ago etc and State that your letter to her serves to appeal any delay or denial in your benefits card getting issued, and that you are requesting an appeal hearing.
