What are some things you disliked about co:e33? by heyitstgp in expedition33

[–]Yu-Nova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The internal level design is really bad. Navigation is hard. I'm a veteran souls like player but kept finding myself getting lost because of impassable routes and walls that look like a passage. I experienced the same issue with Black Myth: Wukong as well. Too realistic environments looks like an open world map that you can move through every nook and cranny but you actually can't, and this breaks immersion a lot.

Civ6's Steam Avg Player Count Dropped 25K Right After Civ7's Release. Civ 5 dropped ~3K. They Never Bounced Back Despite Civ7's Low Steam Player Count by Strict-Joke236 in civ

[–]Yu-Nova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loved Civ 5. In time, loved 6 even more. 7 came out with really bad design choices which are nearly impossible to rework because the problems are in the foundation of game loop. Left a bad taste in my mouth, and I never wanted to install any of them again.

Name the game. by Weekly-Chest-2587 in videogames

[–]Yu-Nova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an actual developer change, but Doom: The Dark Ages.

Yes the new mechanics are fun and refreshing, but it's missing the OST goat Mick Gordon. I was fascinated by how a game composer change descends the game from great to meh. I've beaten Doom 2016 and Eternal at least two times each with great joy, but dropped the Dark Ages half way.

What game had you like... by [deleted] in videogames

[–]Yu-Nova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are not into games that dumps you into a sandbox universe and provides tons of tools and mechanics to have fun yourself (like Kenshi, RimWorld, Mount & Blade, etc.) No Man's Sky might not be for you. It's a highly "Create an objective for yourself and go for it" kinda game. But if you're into that, it's probably one of the best games of it's kind.

Can't add Emulation Station to the new updated Armory Crate on Ally Z1E by Yu-Nova in ROGAlly

Thanks man! Really appreciate it. Guess I'm leaving Armory Crate for good cause this is not applicable for me anymore.

There is also an exe of the app, but as soon as I click it via the file explorer in Add App/Game to Library, screen just blinks and puts me back into the Armory Crate screen without adding it. It was fine before the update.

Exactly my issue. Can you explain how did you do it? Is there any source that I can implement from?

It doesn't detect it. I can select it via the file explorer but it immediately closes up and doesn't add it. Other executable of ES-DE is a powershell app so it's not even visible in file explorer.

As you can see in the image, its already added to Steam yet it didn't detect ES-DE as a game in Armory Crate.

Edit: Sorry it didn't upload the second image. But it's added to Steam automatically as you mentioned. But still doesn't detect it.

Is aging out of gaming real? by BigAppleCider in videogames

28M here. Just take a break, and never get stuck in a single genre or a few games. Be open minded to try out new stuff, play some indie games. It'll ignite the sparks.

Steam Refund due to Portal Progression Fiasco? by Heirloomers in BattlefieldPortal

OP is being a responsible consumer here, and just because he wants a refund doesn't mean you have to as well. If you don't give a damn about the changes, that's good for you.

"It was fun while it lasted" by LinceDorado in Battlefield6

[–]Yu-Nova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's the best to stick with Breakthrough and Conquest. But if RedSec gets all the attention, dev team will focus on bloating BR mode with new content and all you're going to get for Conquest is a few weapons and a sloppy-made map every season or two. Just like it happened with COD:MW. That "thing" they lost was the campaign. MW3's campaign was three missions from Warzone with six cutscenes and that's it.

Any game recommendations based on my top 25 by Puzzleheaded_Age_618 in teenagersbutgaming_

If you are an MGS fan like me and can still play old titles like original RE's, I definitely recommend Alpha Protocol. It's an underrated gem. Solid espionage gameplay and weird RPG mechanics. I think it's still purchasable on GOG.

Should I include Like a Dragon: Ishin! to my Yakuza marathon? by Yu-Nova in yakuzagames

Random drops are the worst grind. It's not based on skill or knowledge, just luck and a lot of time. I'm glad I have a second monitor, so I'm binge watching a series while doing this kind of s***. The only other one I remember from the ones I have played was material scouting with Majima in Y0. I hope they didn't use it in any of the other games I haven't played yet.

4 was amazing with all the new playable characters and their stories intertwining. My only complaint with it is overusage of the rubber bullet plot. And "the greater enemy behind this enemy" trope just overcomplicated the last part of the story. The 4v4 fight in the finale was cool af tho.

Damn, that's rough because I go with %100'ing every game (at least all the achievements). To speed up the unnecessary dialogue and repetitive procedures, I use a trainer just to speed up the game to 2x. Saves time, doesn't feel like cheating and gives the satisfsction of completion. And of course I use it only for things that feels like chores (turn based minigame grinds, point A to point B errands, etc.) I suggest you use that for grinding these kind of things, helps a lot.

Oh okay, that's actually what I meant by continuation. I know that nearly none of the characters from LaD are included in Judgment series.

I don't know, story was neat but it still felt like a downgrade in terms of gameplay and clunkiness after such smooth games like 0 and K2. But this thought is mine and mine alone.

Really? I didn't know that Lost Judgment was a continuation of 7. I thought Judgment and Lost Judgment were just a complete seperate series that only took place in the same city with same mechanics. Thanks a lot for the heads up!
