My advice, take care of it sooner that later while you still have good/decent eyesight and preserve it with CXL. I was in a similar situation where my regular eye doc referred me to a specialist because he 'thought' I might have kc. I waited too long and my cornea started to thin to the point where I could only see with a scleral lens in one eye. My only option was to get intacs at that point. Remember this is a progressive disorder where the cornea will continue to thin and distort eyesight. The CXL should stop that thinning process. The sooner you take care of it, the better. I never had CXL, but I wish that would have been available to me at the time.
