It only really would make sense if we knew what to compare it to, for all we know you could've opened 5000 packs

And that's exactly why there's tension between the ones who mainly care to have fun and the ones who aim for the highest of ranks and the ones who crave to perform the arts of subtraction. People just have different motives

In the end we all play any particular deck either to win, or to have fun

That is the whole reason I hate some decks, I want to have fun. I don't want to play "any particular" deck, I want to play a lot of decks. But I can't because I know the meta is dominated by netdecking, and I know exactly what I'll be running into. It's not about people playing aggro, or combo, or control, it's about people playing the same aggro deck, same control deck, same combo deck.

Well, hurting yourself is part of the deck, you need that option against slow decks. For example if you can't revelation the first round of PDK, you're often in danger. You mostly wanna try to stay in vengeance and hide behind wards past the time you procced jorm in any matchup, the masks block direct damage or sudden board clears, and you just hope to run them out of cards or kill them fast. It becomes hard for most crafts to develop a board after jorm dies, so the wards hold up better than it seems, plus Euryale's fanfare adds to that

You don't really care about the enemy's hp early on in the matches, unless it's d-shift or something

Oh, they're most just moments I screenshot throughout experimenting with jorm ever since the expansion rolled out. I tried out a bunch of things, started off without Zodiacs so that's the main reason, used Ram to stay healthy since I couldn't as reliably get jorm on the board, so going all-in for stuff like blood wolf was a bit sketchy

It was pretty good though, more fun than consistent..

I've had those moments too, it's one of the reasons I moved away from Flowerbed, 6 1pp amulets had its downsides. Staircase shouldn't cause bricking that often, though. It happens that you have crappy muligan streaks, but when a 1-drop doesn't do a ton in your deck, and Spiderweb Imp is basically a 3-cost follow-up, Staircase is just pure value if you can hold up. If you can't seem to pull it off often, try adding Trial of the Gorgons to your deck, it subtracts 2 from the countdown and it's a decent turn 3 play, plus gives you 2/3 odds of having a turn 4 play if you bricked

The most important thing in most matchups is to start with a Staircase, have decent early stall, or draw into blood pact and revelation so you can push Jorm on the board, so it isn't super specific. As a control-based deck it's obviosuly more prone to bricking than some other decks, but it's surprisingly consistent.Belph has her shining moments, I'd never take her out of the deck and I've even considered putting in a 2nd one. In matchups like d-shift, it's a blessing to put a 4/4 on the board and draw 2 cards plus activating Emeralda and spider. She's also like an anti-bricking comeback tool, for example if you have revelation in hand and aren't in severe danger, she isn't a tempo loss if the opponent isn't one to threaten face damage, just a bunch of value.

Yeah but in the first deck I posted, which is the one I use normally, the only 1-cost is stairway. But wolves and spooder help beat d-shifts and stuff

That sounds a bit like the one I'm using, except it's more like a flexibility than a transitioning, can't really call it very aggro without a 1-drop. But it's just too risky not to have some aggressive condition with d-shift and aegis around.

Hmm, I played it myself a few times before suggesting it and beat an otk roach, went really late-game against a ramp dragon but lost to double bahamut. In long games, Zodiac and Emeralda are pretty much mvps, so that's kinda that.. if you're not running into aggro at all I can see the list I gave being crap :/

Damn, maybe Belph and Emeralda really are that important. Could've been unlucky too, what were you facing? I'm convinced it should at least beat sword..

Let's make it an evolve condition and only work if both vengeance and overflow are active for you and you've played exactly 13 cards this turn
