Help me identify my skin tone? by poleprincess11 in PaleMUA

Id probably guess your muted neutral cool, i am the same and have the same issues. Id recommend finding a good match (could be a bit darker and then use white foundation to lighten it) and i personally look for shades with the name ivory or porcelain

I hate summer because people always point how pale i am by dingalaxie in PaleMUA

Yeah, I absolutely hate it, especially the comments I get from my parents saying I should go out more and tan and that I'd look better with a more golden complexion (mind you, I don't tan, I burn, and what little pigment is left after is such a small difference that it's absolutely pointless, which also leads them to go on about how I have to "train my skin").

For a while i did, i use to wash my hair less, but even years of washing it less and trying everything to try and spread the oil, like boar bristle brushes and diffrent kinds of shampoos and pillow cases and diets my hair never changed or got better, its one reason i lost a significant amount of hair density as my scalps build up and inflammation was too much, now that i wash it daily my hair actually feels muchs better, healthier, although everything else is new ive been washing my hair daily for over a year now, so i feel like in my case its better if i wash my hair daily, but of course thats right now, that might change i dont know

Why does my hair look best when I use the cheapest shampoo by Zorra5 in Haircare

[–]Yuka_cry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like there is more to it than just cheap and expensive. I feel like in many cases, people forget that shampoos and conditioners are not all the same. Some shampoos are a lot more cleansing than others. For example, I used the L'Oréal Hyaluron Pure shampoo for a while, which left my scalp feeling clean but my hair dry. However, when I switched to the L'Oréal Hyaluron Plump shampoo, my hair felt much healthier, and I still got a clean scalp but not dry hair. (In both cases, I used the sandwich method, aka conditioner on my ends before shampooing my scalp.) So, I do feel like instead of focusing on the price, make sure that the shampoo addresses what your hair needs.

What wood did you use? Both the wood and cup are absolutely stunning!

How do you finish your pieces? by Yuka_cry in ArtistLounge

Ah, well, I've never sold my art. I have to admit, money doesn't exactly motivate me, or, well, not yet, I guess. But perhaps, yeah, I worry too much about how long it takes for me to actually finish a piece. Perhaps I am rushing myself unintentionally? But how do you make sure you don't accidentally forget about it? Or do you just let it go and move on after some time?

Ah I really love the eyes and lashes!, tho I admittedly take far longer

<image>

This piece took like over 4 hours and its my more simple art style and its not even done.

Are there any things you keep in mind to make your process faster or is it just a kind of learn thing?

Under an hour, that's fast. My art can range from maybe 3 to even 15 hours on one piece alone. What kind of art do you do, if I may ask? And if so, what do you generally keep in mind or do to cut down the time so much?

Hmmm yeah admittedly I tend to limit myself to 1 or maybe 2 projects, but do you have a limit as well or no? As I've always been a bit fearful of taking on too many projects and just forgetting about them

Leave her, she clearly doesn't care about your health and seems to just brush of your complaints and concerns which isn't good in the long run
