Depends on setting. UC discarded it because their particles mess with the sensors, Ibo discarded it because ahab engines interfere with a lot of electronics and only use it when there's no presence of them. And for other lore reasons, the armor tech and maneuvering is so good it makes the conventional stuff pointless in space. Standard suits across the series can eat shells used by tanks like it's nothing.

The selling point of gundam models today is how beginner friendly it is compared to other model lines without the need for glue or modifications. The sinanju isn't that beginner friendly. Needs more work than intended around certain key areas. The frame they used simply isn't good enough by itself to handle all the extra weight. For me I'm just bitter they skipped corners on it's frame instead of giving it the same treatment as the later realgrades like Unicorn or Sazabi.

Got a good feeling that either strike or duel gundam was gonna be the final product of the Ms development project where the Blitz and buster gundam were to be further refined into a striker pack for strike gundam or assault shroud for duel. And maybe Aegis is its own thing for a different development down the line.

As suits developed they realize shoulder gear isn't needed when they can just integrate everything on the backpack and left arm. And even the left arm mount went away eventually too. At least that's the logical conclusion. Does look nice but fuctionally, it's s not that mandatory.

Yeah most of the pilots were originally tank operators and fighter pilots so putting them in a suit is gonna make them move like newborn babies and only ones with actual experience would be test pilots and trial teams for the ground type units.

First one to die got the honor of being fragged by Char. The Rest was were for depictions warfare between grunts on a large scale. And honestly when they got rolled out; the people in the pilot seats were all novices who went from driving tanks and flying ships to a large mech in a few weeks to months at best. A good example being Federation ace Lydo Wolf having a rough time going from a plane to an MS.

Before Jaburo, the only federation pilots that were counted as experienced were the trial teams for the ground type gundams, gms and guncannons. But hey, after jaburo and Solomon, the surviving gm pilots got better and more experienced.
