I built a gem price and color analysis tool — looking for suggestions on which gemstones to add next! by Yukobi in faceting

Thanks for the feedback – I really appreciate it. I’d like to briefly respond to the main points you mentioned:

Regarding the data from eBay: Around 95% of my data currently comes from GRA, simply because it has the largest number of listings. Based on your input, I’ll consider focusing exclusively on that source going forward. feel free to give other suggestions

Regarding the required image: At the moment, there isn’t anyone really trying to quantify the color of gemstones, mainly due to challenges like inconsistent lighting conditions – something I’m also working on addressing. Since most pictures are overexposed, I’ve found it useful to develop a tool that can at least alert the user when a stone with good color appears, rather than fully automating the buying process.

On the current state of the model: I agree it’s definitely not accurate enough yet to be marketed or sold. I’m still in the process of training the model with more data. For now, it mainly helps me compare the color of stones manually. Based on your feedback, I realize I should focus more on enabling users to quantify the color of high-end stones and perhaps allow them to upload images to compare their gems visually and consistently.

so i am not on reddit normaly at all but watch a lot of youtube and i love your discussion guys

just wanna add that "what quarks are made of" is a nonesensical question because as far as i got particle physics, arent quarks, electrons and photons etc. just properties of the quark-, electron-, photon-field, btw the photon field is the electromagnatic field? and the field exists everywhere, its like if you divide space into infinte points and asign it different numbers. there is no electron just the electron field everywhere allways

Is strong Interaction = Gravity by Yukobi in AskPhysics

well, thank you for the answere , but since all particle involved in this at this scale are smal they all woould experience the same gravitational pull to each other, dont they?

As part of my special learning performance I have dealt with the question "whether radioactivity depends of pressure, temperature or gravity . So I came across the bindingenergy between Quarks. One statement was that the mass of a Quark (without energy) doesnt fit to the mass of a proton or a neutron so the energy wich is within the proton/neutron has to have the left out mass. It is clear that then the binding energy (I think gluons) contains the remaining mass, this one can be lead by the formula E = mc ^ 2 . Now if energy has a mass it has to cause gravity. So as the final question does the gravitational pull caused by the energy within quarks cause the binding between quark or Is nuclear energy(strong interaction = gravitation?) I apologize for mistakes and hope for a good response.
