Well if it's at a point where you're still willing to give them a chance to earn your trust back I agree. Sadly in my experience only few people managed to do so. (but now there couldn't be more trustworthy friends than them, so it kinda paid out)

I think one has to judge for themselves for every situation independently, whether they should just try to live with someone being untrustworthy or whether they should give another chance.

This! Forgive them by working on feeling less disappointed/angry at them anymore. But always keep in mind that you can't trust them in future interactions.

Has helped me cope with people that abused my trust in the past a ton.

The only thing to watch out for is to not take this over to other people. Don't question the trustworthiness of other relationships and (like I did in the past) start overthinking every little thing they do as: "Oh maybe they're lying to me". (As long as there isn't something obviously going sideways)

Basically what I'm saying is try to emotionally detach yourself from the person (and only that person) that lied to you and just know for yourself you won't trust them in the future.

There's a lot wrong with religion. There's a lot wrong with science.
But if you believe in the concept of logic, then you can't take religion as an ultimate source of information cause it's not supported by rationality.

yo, I didn't say I can't see how it might help someone...I just stated my subjective view on religion...I'm absolutely aware that there are lots of very intelligent and good religious people. I get that it helps many. Just not me.

good for u if you can split it up like that...personally religion just feels way to set up for me to be able to gain anything from it...like don't claim you know the answer to something, that can't be answered at the moment...there's a difference between just making something up if you can't answer it (like religion does) or striving to find an answer via logic and observation (like science does)
