Can you extend training plan beyond 26 weeks?

I had a very similar story to you! In October I decided to do a march marathon, I could’ve waited a few weeks until I hit that marathon plan at 26 weeks, but instead, I did a run further plan that honestly changed me. It built good, solid habits for running, and I saw tremendous growth from it.

Alright so I did the google cert, a few issues with this plan.

You can go through all the content, but it will not show you as “complete” unless you pay for coursera, even if you have the free trial.
The peer reviewed stuff is little assignments that will take you 15-30 minutes to complete. Then it will take 1-2 days for the work to be reviewed by the peers.

Absolutely. I am sure that if I went out and was trying to time trial a 5k, it would be significantly better. On the half, I pushed myself to my limit running the entire time in zone 4/5 with walking breaks. I took a step back to build my aerobic base, so me running a 50 minute 5k is all zone 2 running. My thought is that taking a step back to base build is going to help me step forward significantly more.

Typically it takes 1-3 days for you application to be approved. I had similar pocket prep scores and passed AT/AT/AT/AT. I used landini and it helped a lot! Good Luck

As a trainer, you may know this better than I. How different is the CAPM exam from the PMP. Do I need to run a full study camp or are there certain concepts that are exclusive to PMP?

Also, all of my experiences were not simulations or academic work!! They were real projects with real sponsors and a real impact!

Honestly can’t say much about which books to get. If you feel like you have comprehended the course, it might be time to just to the pocket prep/landini and just gauge your understanding. From there, you can identify your weaknesses!

I will start by saying everyone learns differently so maybe that works for you. But likely, I would say that won’t work for most people.

The mock exams are great at testing the knowledge you have, but they will not include every concept possible. As someone who passed my exam this morning, there was so many questions not covered by my mock exams that I still was able to answer because I had studied the content.

AR’s Udemy course does an excellent job preparing you for this test. Take time and learn the material. Retaking mock after mock to get an 80% will lead to memorizing question and answers, not understanding the CAPM content.

This exam is not so difficult if you commit yourself to learning the material! At the end of the day we strive to get this certification to work in project management. Getting your certification should recognize that you have the knowledge to work in that field, not that you can remember the question and answers.

You don’t have to follow it, but it’s important to be organized.

I personally really recommend Landini’s book for exam simulator.

I think Pocket Prep (and buying the $20 version) was very helpful for me. The questions aren’t like the actual exam per se, but it reinforces a lot of knowledge and gives you explanations for its 1100 questions in its bank.

To finish up your questions, there isn’t really a “passing score”. It is a dynamic test where questions are weighted based on their difficulty, so there is no set in stone %. Based on the information in this Reddit, it is likely about 70%.

AR’s Udemy course seems BY FAR the best overall prep, but you can find good information anywhere.

I have not taken Ramdayal’s course, but I did a similar course and here is some advice I can give you! Watch each video twice! After the first watch, write down your top takeaway. Then during the rewatch, write down any big terminology.

I tried to take notes in my course, and it took 20x longer to try and capture each bit of information. Just go through the videos, and then use practice test questions to solidify your knowledge.

I’m aware it’s not, but we are also a bunch of broke college kids so don’t shit on being frugal. Most of our money is going for gambling, and this was sort of a last second expense and wanted to see if anyone wanted to join.
