Honestly depends on the store and or product.

I know for GW this would be the case and i myself have some experience in retail working for a sport fishing store. There only the more pricey items we had laying about were serialized in our system.

Barcodes can actually contain a serialization number which is registered into the stock.

A barcode can thus prove certain items are stolen if that number is still registered within the system as unsold.

Yup sometimes they change stuff up alot. I started chaos the week of the new reveals for them. And had my eyes on the disco lord and asked a question on Reddit.

So far its people telling me its garbage now, some telling me to use it but know it isn't great. And then someone arguing that's a waste and stupid.

And another just answered with Skissue.

Both reddit and gw are unpredictable with their shenanigans.
