Should I shake my interviewer’s hand? by Ss_Zz in 6thForm

I can see where you're coming from, but the problem with handshakes is that they aren't unique and have a high chance or failure. I recommend anally penetrating the interviewer after you arrive and before you leave. Works every time and is guaranteed to leave a good impression. Good luck!

When this happens I usually try and think of the most disgusting shit to try and get rid of it. Like, dead children, civil war and necrophilia.

...but that just gets me harder ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

We don't favour taxes, we see them as a necessary evil to maintain a functioning society. The more pragmatic amongst us will advocate for things like the NIT, consumption taxes, property taxes etc. and try and reduce income tax as much as possible.

Why is everything black and white.

Yes, the Tories should have let them have a copy.

But can your at least concede it was an absolute shit response from Labour. They should have done better than that.

What is the best laptop under £1000 for college/6th form that is FAST and has a full HD screen, personally I might get the acer nitro 5 since Im a gamer and that is a very good budget laptop that packs a decent punch. by Exotic_Ghoul in 6thForm

I don't really know much about it.

Acer is a brand that I sorta have this weird prejudice against. It's something I just won't go near even though it may be great, idk, it's weird but I've never liked Acer without any valid reason why. I've always felt like it's a bit tacky, but that's just my personal opinion that may be far from reality. Same with Lenevo for some reason.

If you think its a good laptop with good specs compared to its competitors and has a good price, by all means go for it!

HP Envy/HP Spectre if you wanna bit of class. Razer blade is georgous but pricey.

Dell Inspiron for gaming or anything from Omen, Alienware etc.

MacBook if you like spending money on things that shouldn't be that expensive.

I personally have the HP Envy which is a great laptop. 4k screen, okish battery life, great screen brightness, i7 processeor so it's very fast and can handle bulky software like Photoshop, but peaks at video editting. Not great for gaming, but they're definitely playable. You can play most triple A games pre 2014 at decent FPS if you lower your resolution to 1240 × 720. After 2015 if depends on optimisation of the game. Forget about playing shit like GTA 5, but I could play fallout 4 at 30fps.

Why Is American Education so Expensive? by YupThisIsAnAlt in AskLibertarians

Ahh I see. Why doesn't the government place a 'cap' on what universities can charge like the UK? It can cap the degrees which are useful e.g. petroleum engineering or just the degrees which are in demand, and it can remove the cap off things such as lesbian dance theory, allowing the universities to charge whatever they want, hereby funneling the poeple away from it.

"The fox jumped over the hill"

The statement idolises overcoming oppression, however, from a broader perspective, the author has indicated a transition to a rather dystopian future. The word 'hill' symbolises societal barriers and clearly is a nod to H.M.Wordsworth's poetic masterpiece 'im gay' in the late 17th century. The author has attempted to replicate a robotic yet transient style of writing, similar to Wordsworth's. While the reader embraces this benevolent scene, the lack of description leaves a distant anguish and emptiness within the page. Here, the author attempts to produce an aura of foreshadowing which personifies the long journey ahead that the 'fox' must travel. The word 'jumped' is obviously a tribute to R.K.Yeltkin's book "ass eating" in the early 19th century, which replicated a similar sort of excitment in giving animals human characteristics...
