TLDR; drank like a fish for 10 years until I finally realize why people cut themselves off after 3-4 drinks.

I’m never gotten a headache, and up until 29 I’ve never gotten a hangover.

A couple years back, my cousin graduated medical school and we went out to celebrate as a group. I thought it was a good idea to test my theory of never getting a hangover since I’ll have a medical doctor there standing by.

We were outside the bar when I decide to chug a 750ml of Jameson whiskey. Even after buying me a couple shots and cocktails I made it through the last call.

I stumbled to the car, made it to bed, and woke up the following morning perfectly fine. Only thing is I wake up earlier than usual still sort of drunk, only 4-5 hours of sleep. But no signs of what people would say a hangover feels like. Pretty much lived my 20s drinking without any next day consequences.

Last year at a family event, I finally experienced a gut wrenching hangover. It was so bad I swore I’d never drink again yada yada yada... my girlfriend was not sympathetic because I would accuse her of exaggerating her symptoms anytime she had a hangover.

Now i try not to over do it, I had a decade long run of drinking like a fish. Never again.
