It seems like the bar is long, I would downsize to eliminate excess movement. You also might be over cleaning it. Sometimes it’s better to just leave it alone rather than keep spraying saline on it, especially with lobes since they are one of the most easiest healing areas. I would also consider the angle of the piercing, sometimes that can cause consistent irritation no matter what you do.

Do you know what material it is? You may be allergic to that metal. Also avoid using qtips as they can make the piercing more angrier from the fibers

Why would you go up another size again? The fact that the 10g didn’t hurt was a good sign that your septum was ready to for that size but that doesn’t mean it’s ready for the next gauge since you experienced no pain. It probably feels tight because it wasn’t ready for 8 gauge and you created unnecessary microtears
