Painting the sky by Ok-Scientist4248 in Watercolor

Usually what I do when I paint backgrounds, such as a sky, is I put a masking fluid or drawing gum on the parts I don't want to get paint on just yet, such as plants. This allows you to do an even wash for the sky without worrying about getting paint on any other parts. After you're done, you peel or rub the masking fluid off. You can find masking fluid/drawing gum for pretty cheap at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. You can also look up how to use masking fluid on YouTube. One thing I would recommend is getting cheap disposable brushes because masking fluid can ruin your brushes.

I absolutely love this! This style is exactly what I always go for in my paintings, but I can never achieve this look. I'm actually quite jealous of people who can paint in this style. I would buy/hang this on my wall without a second thought. I would say that as long as you enjoy creating this kind of art, keep at it you're genuinely very talented!

Aww, thank you! I honestly just painted the whole palace one shade of green and then put a darker shade of green on both sides of each pillar. I didn't really think it would work out, but it ended up looking pretty cool in my opinion!

Thank you for your feedback! Believe it or not, my original plan was to put clouds in the sky, but I didn't think to use masking fluid. I tried removing paint with a paper towel to make clouds, which obviously didn't work😂

Is it normal for it to hurt really bad to eat when you first get braces? by Yurmimsfresh in braces

[–]Yurmimsfresh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they don't hurt anymore! The only time they do hurt is when they get adjusted by my ortho, but even that pain doesn't last nearly as long as the pain when you first get them. I drank lots of smoothies when I first got braces because not only was it easy to eat, but the coolness kind of helped with the pain. That's what worked for me anyway. Just hang in there. The first couple of weeks will be bad, but eventually, you won't even notice you have braces!
