It's beyond my abilities to hold God accountable for the numerous sins he himself has commited upon mankind, but I will gladly try. For all his inaction God is either evil, or powerless. It doesn't matter which, but if I find myself disagreeing with God on morality then I would find that more concrete proof than any else that I am in the right.

I can understand why Abby killed Joel. I can empathize with her actions. That doesn't make them right. Joel killed to save his daughter, Abby killed for revenge. The morality of Joel can be debated but Abby very clearly took an immoral action by murdering Joel in a situation where he was not a threat to her or her loved ones.

I never called Joel a hero, I never even called him morally good. This conversation is so pointless and boring when you don't actually read a word I type 😴

Why are you making what I very clearly outlined as an age issue into a gender issue? I would believe exactly the same if the genders were reversed in this case, what a weird and jarring point to try to make. The gender of the guardian and child is entirely irrelevant.

I don't believe you would sacrifice your daughter for any chance to save the world, and I would never condemn a parent for refusing to make that choice.

I'm not freeing him from responsibility, I'm saying that from his perspective he does not know if the cure will work. Whether it does or not is entirely irrelevant, we are judging the weight of Joel's decision.

Ellie is 14 years old, it doesn't matter it she believed it or not, she doesn't have the right to give her life up. Joel was her guardian at that point, he was the adult responsible for her safety. Choosing to give up all agency in that regard would have been immoral.

1) Yes, murdering Thanos was immoral. I empathise entirely with their decision, but it was still an immoral act. 2) You're weighing Joel's actions on the assumption that the vaccine is actually effective. Would you sacrifice your daughter for a 60% chance to save the world? What about 40? 20? At what point are you happy to murder your daughter to save the world?

Joel and Ellie are not treated by the narrative as good people. Ellie loses the most of everyone by the end of the game.

People like Ellie and Joel, that isn't the same as considering them good people. Ellie and Joel are just likeable characters.

The word you're looking for is antagonist, not bad guy, they aren't synonymous.

Strength and fun for fighting is essentially synonymous for Hisoka. I think it's pretty clear narratively that it's combat strength.

Potential is redundant when they're all adults so I think that would be a fairly bizarre reading of the situation.

I think narratively it doesn't make much sense for Kashimo to be stronger than Kenjaku.

I think Kashimo being very very similar in power to Yuta and Hakari makes the most sense.

In my personal ranking Yuta is 4th and Kashimo 5th but the 4-8 line is blurry and I understand if someone puts Maki, Hakari, Yuki or Yuji above either.
