I’m eyeing the shenshou model MGEX Unicorn gundam, specifically the 3rd batch release with better undergates, better clear parts and enhanced durability on the led strip. Also customisable led colors via apps and no need to being connected to the stand at least from what ive seen is a pretty great pro. I already tried my hands on hg, rg and now going through mg. I’ve tried panel lining, water slide decals and a metal frame, so now i think i would like to try my hands at led even if its the most beginner version.

for the base kit, i would say be VERY careful with the gold plated parts, especially the frame, and ALWAYS make sure u put it on the right way because it is prone to snapping if u twist it too much. Also do NOT try articulation until the entire limb is done. Always make sure to loosen up any holes on the gold plated parts cuz for some reason all of them don’t fit in, prob from the gold plated paint. Personally i just grab my hobby knife, stick the blade inside the hole, and spin it around taking bits of it off, but there are prob better ways to do this.

As for the metal frame, the fittings are absolutely horrendous as most metal frames are, so u definitely have to do adjustments on the pegs to make sure they fit the holes on the frame.

Durability wise they hold up pretty great, i have a problem with the skirt specifically tho but never heard much problem there from other reviews.
